Its excellence lies in that it is blessed with not only rich vocabulary but also delicate and diverse expressions and can properly express courtesy.
He said: This excellence of Korean language manifests itself in detail through its language culture. But if uncultured language, such as dialects or redundant words, was spoken or written, it would hinder the sound development of the excellent language. In order to improve the cultured way of speaking, we should be well-aware of our beautiful and excellent quality of the language and its use. The improvement of the cultured way of speaking can only be conceivable when we use the standardized language commonly understood and used by all the Koreans, instead of such uncultured language as dialects.
He also noted that they should properly use the courtesy expressions in language culture.
He stressed that it is important to show the courtesy in speaking in order to improve the way of speaking in a cultured manner and underlined the need to choose proper words to show respect and eliminate such immoral practices as using too informal words and telling intemperate jokes. He continued that the practices of uncivilized way of speaking and writing should be remedied instead of remaining on-lookers to those practices and regarding them merely as laughing stocks.
