The great leader Comrade
It was in the midst of war when the US imperialists were making their last-ditch stand with every possible barbarous means of destruction while framing up behind the curtain of an armistice talk. Just in that period, the great President visited the university in Paeksong-ri through a long way of still-remaining aftermath of the bacterial atrocities by the US imperialists.
He exchanged greetings with the university officials with happy smile, saying he had long hoped to pay a visit to the university.
After he met the officials and got information about the education of the university, he had a talk with the professors of Economics Faculty and Geography Faculty. He had warm handshakes with each of them and said that they would probably have much inconvenience in such a distant mountainous region but he was happy to see them in good health.
He told them that the Korean people would win the Fatherland Liberation War against the US imperialists and that they had to make preparations for the postwar reconstruction with firm conviction of victory.
Just when the world people were worrying about the Korean War, the great leader was so confident about the victorious fatherland that he encouraged the professors and scholars to have the conviction and courage. He warmly said that they had to study how to do a grand postwar reconstruction after the armistice and he wanted to get their opinions.
He told the professors and scholars that the university had to explore the natural resources of the country and study how to rationally harness the resources. He emphasized that our country was very rich in mineral, hydraulic, forest and marine resources. But he expressed his worry about insufficient information of the natural resources in spite of the necessity of making an effective use of the resources.
He also said that they had to learn from the experiences during the war and hasten the studies of various problems in the reconstruction of the national economy, giving them the directions of rearrangement of the state productivity and illustrating such issues as geographical prospecting, realization of industrialization and electrification, comprehensive use of abundant hydraulic resources, the development of river transportation, the construction of the great canal between the East Sea and West Sea of Korea, motor and railway transportations, cultivation of new land and effective use of cultivated land, the development of stockbreeding and fishing industry to radically improve the people's living, the protection of wildlife, and the development of chemical industry.
And then he went around the canteens and bedrooms to look into the students' study and life. He visited a serviceman's family to let them have confidence in victory and give them paternal love and care.
Paeksong-ri, the glorious land of the great President's immortal history, tells forever one of his exploits in the wartime of making a grand plan of gigantic nature-remaking projects with confidence in the victory of our country.
