Educators Bringing Up the Talents to Bear a Responsibility of the Country's Medical Science

Since the establishment of the Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University under the direct initiative and scrupulous guidance of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, our Physics Department, while giving lectures, waged the vigorous activities to improve the quality of the lectures, being highly aware of the subject's position and role to carry out the modernization and scientification of the medical science in the past 70 years.

Our department struggled to enrich the content of the subject and supplemented new information to meet the modern medical science. Being highly conscious of the importance of the subject in Pyongyang Medical College, the professors spared no effort to improve their abilities.

While conducting the research on the Medical Bio-Mechanics and the Laser, We reviewed the subject thoroughly which led us to arrange careful planning to put our subject on the basis of modernization and scientification of the medical science.

Having a good understanding of the importance of the teaching method to improve the quality of education and of the prevalence of the old teaching method of cramming into students' head, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, put forward the ways and means on April 1st and 8th to solve these problems.

The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung taught us as follows:

"The main form of school education is teaching and the basic method of teaching is heuristics. This method enables students to understand correctly what they have been taught, so the aims of education are achieved." ("Theses on Socialist Education" an Independent Volume page 23)

Upholding the last teachings of the great leaders, we introduced the heuristic method of teaching and carried out the task of emphasizing and popularizing the lectures to enhance the teaching method and lecture level.

Upholding the party's instruction to realize the educational information, We turned out to work on textbooks and reference books and produced the "Physics"(e-textbook), "The Application of the Laser" and "The Interference of the Light" and e-Teaching Plan, Education programs, Simulation Program for "Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Examination Program for Physics". We also managed to produce around 4,000 pages of textbooks and reference books including "Reference Books for Physics", "The Reciprocal Reaction between the Laser and Organism" and "The Principle and Application of Bio-Mechanics" to be used by all the medical colleges throughout the county.

And the campaign to be the "10.8 Model Teacher" initiated by the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, while giving on-the-spot-guidance to Samjiyong Mubong Secondary School has been carried out vigorously and during those days, 3 professors of the central "10.8 Model Teacher" and 4 professors of the university "10.8 Model Teacher" are emerged.

To uphold the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's leadership loyally, we arranged the careful planning to have the great improvement in the field of culture including education, and gathered and arranged all the materials for the greatness of the great leaders and the party's policy and also many new teaching methods are created and were introduced to lectures to led us to achieve a great success in lectures.

Regarding the teacher's abilities as the level of the Students, we considered the ability-improving as the most important priorities and took active part in the scientific work to prepare ourselves to be the first ranking professors in the world. We worked on several papers including "The Study on Nano-carbon Complex Material in Plants" and "the Study on Bio-mechanics on Physique". And "the Study to Explore the Subject to Meet the Purpose of Bringing up the Doctors of Sports" is registered as the task in the Ministry of Education and to explore the new subject, all the professors are trying really hard.

We are now conducting various researches of world significance including "The Study on the characteristics of light absorption by surface plasmon resonance at the quantum-dots" and "The Usage of plasmon resonance in the medical field" and achieved some successes.

In his letter sent on 30th August, Juche 103(2014), the Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, taught us that the education now is not handing down the existing knowledge but to let the students have new and valuable knowledge to be used more effectively by making it more practical, comprehensive and modern.

Upholding the teachings of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, we waged the vigorous activity to work on teaching plans and e-teaching plans to be more practical, comprehensive and modern and did showed it to 11 medical colleges all over the country for the students to acquire the more valuable knowledge and apply it.

We will be the number one professors to realize the far reaching ideas of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and bring up a lot of talents of medicine and glorify our country as the country of Education and Intellectual giant.
