Leading To Fully Display The Spirit Of Self-Reliance

Today, a spirit of self-reliance is gaining momentum as an esprit de corps for the entire populace in the vigorous struggle for full-scale development of Korean-style socialism. The spirit is becoming a principal mode of tacking all problems arising in the economy as it relies on self-reliance.

Thanks to the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the spirit of self-reliance is being fully displayed in all sectors of national economy across the country.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Self-development is a powerful weapon for building a powerful socialist country and a major guarantee for consolidating the country's material and technological foundations."

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un's wise leadership to encourage the entire working people to display the spirit of self-reliance has been fully evidenced in his guidance visit to an exhibition hall of machinery and equipment on May 12, Juche 105 (2016).

Displayed at the venue of the exhibition were machines and equipment newly manufactured and dedicated to the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea by scientists, engineers and workers who cherished the self-efficacy as an element of their faith and rule.

Looking around the exhibition hall, the respected General Secretary said that all the machines and equipment on display are praiseworthy, adding that they are the products of self-reliance manufactured by relying on our own strength, technology and resources.

The accompanying officials attentively listened to him and kept deep in their mind the truth that self-reliance is the only and the best option for the development of the national economy.

The respected General Secretary said that we should as ever hold fast to the self-reliance-first principle, the revolutionary spirit of relying on our strength, our technology and our resources so that we could intensify our own forces and hewing our own way out. What is impressive here is that most of the machines and equipment on exhibit are not imitative but innovative, and we should always make machines and equipment to suit the natural and geographical features of our country and the taste of our people in particular, he emphasized. He seemed to see in his mind the laudable engineers and workers who had devotedly held fast to the principle of self-reliance to prepare the machinery to dedicate to the Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The respected General Secretary, fully satisfied, sent his special appreciation in the name of the 7th Congress of the Party to the workers and engineers who had successfully built new machines and equipment.

Greatly encouraged by his appreciation and expectation, all workers and engineers across the country including those lauded turned out in the struggle to work new miracles at their workplaces with the spirit of self-reliance.
