The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"It is my wish to provide our children with the best things in the world as soon as possible."

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un put forward the work for the rising generations as the most important affair and successfully applied the most advantageous policy of our Party for nursing the children, thus bringing about a great change in childcare.

First of all, he made sure that modern facilities for the upbringing of children were built to improve the conditions for the upbringing of children.

He ensured that excellent nurseries were built in newly-built districts. A typical example is Kyongsang Nursery.

Thanks to the benevolence and meticulous guidance of the respected General Secretary to glorify the noble love of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il for the younger generations down through generations, Kyongsang Nursery with full conditions for the upbringing of children was newly built in a matter of less than a year.

Kyongsang Nursery is a modern facility equipped with all the conditions needed for the upbringing of children; breastfeeding room, education room, sleeping room, wading pool, general playground, intelligent playground, children's ward, dining room, laundry room, teaching aids room and nursing room. In May Juche 101(2012) the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the newly-built Kyongsang Nursery and looked round various places to learn about its construction.

He inquired into if the room was hot enough for to bringing up children well even in winter and into the temperature of the dining room, the height of the staircase handle, the layout of furniture and facilities, etc.

The respected General Secretary ensured that nurseries were built well in the newly-built districts.

As a result, a nursery was built in the Pyongyang Condiments Factory in June Juche 102(2013), the Unha Nursery in September Juche 102(2013), the Wisong Scientists Residential District Nursery in October Juche 103(2014), and nurseries in Mirae Scientists Street and Ryomyong Street.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ensured that the baby home and orphanage were built as excellent bases for childcare in order to bring up orphans to be pillars of the country.

Comrade Kim Jong Un, who initiated the construction of the Pyongyang Baby Home and Orphanage, dispatched powerful construction forces to the construction site. Then he visited the construction sites several times to solve problems on a preferential basis and led the project to be completed on the highest level.

The Pyongyang Baby Home and Orphanage have more than 250 rooms, including nursing rooms, education rooms, exercise rooms, intelligent games rooms and treatment rooms, and have equipment and equipment for the children's living, furnishings, outdoor and indoor wading pools, parks, amusement facilities and amusement facilities.

The inaugural ceremony of Kanggye, Phyongsong, Sariwon, Nampho Baby Homes and Orphanages were held on the occasion of the significant Day of the Sun.

The inaugural ceremony of the baby home and orphanage in Sinuiju, Hamhung, Hyesan and Haeju was held in May Juche 105 (2016) marking the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). As a result, wonderful baby homes and orphanages were built in all provinces.

A fresh turn was brought about in the work of bringing up orphans to be successors to the Korean revolution and pillars of the country by successfully building baby homes and orphanages in Pyongyang, provinces and cities in the new century of the Juche era.

In particular, he saw to it that the Okryu Children's Hospital, a comprehensive preventive and preventive institution specializing in the treatment of children, was successfully built true to the intention of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

On several occasions, he gave precious instructions on building the children's hospital into the one without an equal in the world. He visited the Children's Hospital nearing completion on October 5, Juche 102 (2013) and named it "Okryu Children's Hospital".

The six-storeyed hospital has a total floor space of more than 32 million square meters and has various treatment rooms, operating rooms and hospitalization rooms with latest medical equipment provided by Comrade Kim Jong Un, classrooms for the hospitalized children, playing grounds and resting places and helipad for bringing first-aid patients from distant places.

With the construction of the modern Okryu Children's Hospital, a comprehensive center for children's medical service was provided and a well-regulated pediatric specialized medical service system was established.

In provinces, medical service bases for children were newly built or renovated in a modern way.

The Jagang Provincial Pediatric Hospital was built, the Pediatric Department of the Pyongyang City People's Hospital was built in a peculiar way and the South Hamgyong Provincial Pediatric Hospital and the Kangwon Provincial Pediatric Hospital were built.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un also directed great efforts to steadily improving the nutrition management for children so that they could grow strong and healthy.

He wisely led the Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory to put its production on a high and steady basis and modernize the factory on a perfect level.

When visiting the factory in December Juche 103 (2014), he learned in detail about its production and management activities and said that the Party would supply it with sufficient amounts of bean and other raw materials for production and solve all problems arising in its management, so it should push ahead with production.

That day, he instructed that the factory should conduct a dynamic drive to improve the quality of its products to the highest level by comparing them with world-famous children's foodstuffs and develop new products needed for the growth and development of children and put all its production processes on an automated, unmanned, germ-free and dust basis and carry out its modernization by the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The factory has pushed ahead with the work to thoroughly implement his instructions, thus completing the renovation, expansion and reconstruction of tens of structures in a matter of ten months and fully furnishing them with modern home-made equipment.

The multi-dimensional integrated production system, automated, unmanned raw material inputs, production, packaging, storage and transport, which have been built to optimize and optimize all the problems arising in production and management activities, has been equipped with a comprehensive analysis room in which elements have been built in such a way as germ-free, dust-free production site and quality test to be rigorous. As a result, many tasty and quality foodstuffs guaranteed in nutritional and hygienic conditions have been supplied to our children.

At the same time, the factory actively developed functional foodstuffs conducive to enhancing immunity and growth of children including powdered Spirulina soybean milk, proctooligosaccharide yogurt, kefir and soybean milk made by adding Spirulina, the most ideal foodstuff for the 21st century, to soy milk powder.

Comrade Kim Jong Un also took measures for the state to provide children with various kinds of nutritious foodstuffs.

Under his warm care, a well-regulated system has been established to supply the children across the country with first crops of fruits of the year on a preferential basis and grapes, persimmon, rainbow trout and other foodstuffs are supplied to nurseries and kindergartens.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un warmly embraced orphans of the whole country and bestowed all loving care on them.

He ensured that a well-regulated system of supplying fish for the children of the baby homes and orphanages by the state was established, so as to bring up children in good health and healthy condition.

When visiting the orphanage in Pyongyang on February 3, Juche 103 (2014), he learned about the nutritional management of children and took measures to feed 300 grams of fish a day and regularly feed them on highly nutritious dried persimmons as well as meat and fish.

Under the warm care of Comrade Kim Jong Un, who is taking parental care of children, the Korean children are now growing up as pillars who will shoulder the future of the country.

Indeed, the future of our country is bright and rosy thanks to the great Party which is struggling, regarding it as the eternal revolutionary spirit of the DPRK to work for the future as the most important undertaking for the rising generations and to work for the future.
