Love for the Children and Students in the Flood-hit Areas

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"The nursing, edification and education of the children and students are the most important of all state affairs, and must never be abandoned even if the sky were to fall in."

Nursing, edification and education of the children are very important work related to the prosperity of the country and the future of the revolution. Only when we attach importance to the training of rising generation and direct great efforts to it, can we build a powerful country which is developed in all aspects and add eternal brilliance to it.

In July 2024, when the disaster happened, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un personally organized and commanded the operation for rescuing people from the dangerous disaster area despite the threatening danger for his life. That day he saw for a long time the children who were carried on their parents' backs and led by the hands of their parents. He inquired into the details of how many children there were and how many girls and boys were among them. He valued the children as the whole of the world that cannot be bartered for anything. As soon as he came back from the disaster area he saw it that the Party Central Committee took charge for making new clothes for the children in the flood-hit areas. Then he came to the area again with the clothes on his special train and put new clothes on the children one by one in the hot and humid tents.

Under the warm care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who regards the issue of child care, edification and education of children and students as the first state affairs that can never be set aside even if the sky may fall in, thousands of children and students of flood-stricken families in North Phyongan Province, Jagang Province and Ryanggang Province were treated as special guests and studied to their hearts' content in the specially prepared classrooms in the April 25 Hostel during the reconstruction period.

School bags, school supplies, new school uniforms, shoes, sportswear, sports hats, dresses, bobby pins and others received by preschoolers and students from the flood-hit areas during their 130-days stay in Pyongyang are also associated with the warm affection of the dear father who took care of them so that they could not be shaded.

It is unthinkable apart from the benevolence of the Party that the educational environment was wonderfully prepared to suit the age-specific characteristics of the students and that the curricula of kindergarten, primary, junior and senior classes could be carried out at a high level.

Disabled students were also treated at the central hospitals in the capital city and enjoyed learning while going to and from their schools in a bright and cheerful manner.

Pupils of primary school in flood-hit areas competed with primary school students in the capital city and several senior-school students were enrolled in the entrance examinations of Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology and more than 70 percent of students of the areas were educated to get excellent marks.

Here's more to say. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw to it that the school children in the islands were supplied with new school uniforms, bags, notebooks, shoes and other essential supplies associated with the Party's loving care, and he took measures to send all the educational equipment, school fixtures and sports equipment kits which were used in the April 25 Hostel last year to the newly-built schools before the opening of the new school year.

The ardent love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the sake of the younger generation inspires the Korean people with confidence and courage that can never be bartered for anything, and the greater the love for the younger generation, the greater the advance of the Korean revolution towards a rosy future.

The DPRK will always emerge victorious as it advances bravely by dint of love for the rising generations.
