Strategic assets, in general, are the assets that have great significance in achieving the goals, which mean the assets accumulated mainly by directing state efforts.
The understanding of strategic assets varies from country to country. Some countries regard underground resources like oil and ore as strategic assets of the country, whereas some define population or highly-regulated IT as strategic assets. Imperialist countries are even clamoring that war means for invading and plundering other countries like intercontinental ballistic missiles, nuclear strategic bombers and nuclear strategic submarines are strategic assets.
Then what are the strategic assets of DPRK?
The DPRK has three strategic assets that others can neither possess nor imitate. They are gold mountains, gold fields and gold seas being provided by the respected General Secretary.
The respected General Secretary set forth the idea that golden mountains, golden fields and golden seas are the three strategic assets of socialist Korea and he has devoted his everything to provide the people with a happy life that the whole world would envy.
Every country has mountains, fields and seas but no country has defined its mountains, fields and seas as strategic assets.
Only in socialist Korea led by the respected General Secretary who regards the people as the divine in the world and devotes his all to them are the golden mountains, golden fields and golden seas regarded as the treasure of the people and three strategic assets.
The teaching of the respected General Secretary that the golden mountains, golden fields and golden seas are our three strategic assets is the crystallization of his lofty outlook on people that the standard evaluating social system and measuring the national power is the welfare of the people.
When the people's happiness is brought into full bloom by turning the mountains, fields and the seas of the country into golden mountains, golden fields and golden seas for the people, the national power of the socialist Korea will become incomparably stronger. This is the keynote of the respected General Secretary.
The respected General Secretary is making tireless efforts to provide three strategic assets of socialist Korea.
The respected General Secretary, with his firm determination and will to turn all the mountains of the country into golden mountains and treasure mountains thickly-wooded with forests within 10 years, inspired the whole party, the whole army and the entire people to forest restoration campaign and he personally becomes a commander of the forest restoration campaign to lead them energetically.
The respected General Secretary gave precious instructions to make forests useful for economic construction and the improvement of the people's livelihood by planting trees for timber, oil, fruit, chestnut and raw materials of pulp and paper. On the significant tree-planting day, he visited Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and personally planted trees for a long time, showing the lofty model of planting trees.
He noted that the shortcut to turning the mountains of the country into golden mountains and treasure mountains lies in putting tree nurseries on scientific, industrialized and intensive basis to produce a number of saplings. And he saw to it that all the provinces had such land-saving and labour-saving nurseries as Tree Nursery No. 122 and visited many times modernly-built tree nurseries though he was very busy.
Thanks to his ardent devotion, a material foundation has been laid for turning all the mountains of the country into golden mountains and treasure mountains and the history of golden mountains continues throughout the country year after year.
The respected General Secretary defined agricultural front as the main thrust of building an economic giant and the first-line trench of the first echelon in the struggle to defend socialism and he is leading agricultural revolution more dynamically with a firm will to turn all the fields of the country into golden fields.
The respected General Secretary set forth the seed revolution, scientific farming, increasing production in low-yielding areas, finding new land, reclaiming tideland, irrigation and mechanization of agriculture as strategic tasks for increasing agricultural production and wisely led the struggle for its implementation.
Visiting a farm of the People's Army, he said that we should study the seeds of high-yielding varieties suited to the climatic and soil conditions of our country and should pay deep attention to introducing them into whole field of our country.
When he visited a leading tractor production base, he acquainted himself with the performance and technical characteristics of the new-type 80-HP tractor and solved all the problems arising in the production of tractors while personally trying it out.
Thanks to the wise guidance of the respected General Secretary, the socialist cooperative fields are swarming with rice and corn, the ranks of high-yielding counties, high-yielding farms and high-yielding farmers are increasing competitively and the successes in consolidating material and technical foundations of agricultural production more firmly are being made one after another.
In particular, a solid foundation has been laid to change all the fields into golden fields full of rice year after year holding grasp of scientific methodology to cope in a predictable way with the disastrous phenomena and obstacles deciding crop failure.
It is the golden seas of socialist Korea that has been proudly changed thanks to the great devotion and efforts of the respected General Secretary.
The respected General Secretary worked heart and soul to realize the desire of Chairman
Though everything was in short and in difficult situation, the respected General Secretary saw to it that a modern fishing boat equipped with a fish detector, communication means and efficient fishing gear was built. When the fishing boats were built, he personally went to the fishery station to grasp in detail the technical features including the performance of the ship and named it "Tanphung".
Then he visited the rainy port to teach ways to bring about innovations in fishing and got on the ship to take hands of the fishermen warmly encouraging them to make innovations in fishing.
When they made miraculous achievements in fishing, he visited them again regardless of a cold and rainy day and looked round the landing place and refrigeration chamber with satisfaction. He highly praised the fishermen for their successes, saying that such scenery is called "Spectacular scenery of big fish catch". And he invited them to the building of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and had a memorial photo taken with them, giving a high official commendation one by one and letting them stand in the van of the times.
Thanks to the patriotic devotion and deep trust of the respected General Secretary, "Tanphung" fishing boats catch a lot of fish and the landing place and the refrigerating chambers are full of fish and the socialist sea aroma is spreading to faraway villages, thus creating unusual view.
The eye-opening realities in the mountains, fields and seas of socialist Korea are neither thanks to heaven nor realities brought by time.
All the miraculous successes made in the golden mountains, the golden fields and the golden seas are brilliant crystallization of the ardent love for the people of the respected General Secretary who takes care of people and devotes his all for them.
The three strategic assets of the DPRK, the golden mountains, the golden fields and the golden seas, which are created by the devotion of the respected General Secretary, are precious assets guaranteeing not only the happiness of the Korean people and the younger generation but also their brighter future.
Here lies the essential characters of 3 strategic assets only DPRK has.
We should be proud of our unique three strategic assets and make active contribution to the building of socialist power, thus glorifying from generation to generation the immortal feats of the respected General Secretary in creating our strategic assets.
