Loyalty and Patriotism Are Noble Ideological and Spiritual Traits of Korean Women

Women are a powerful force of the development of state and society. Women make up half of the population. So when they fulfill their responsibilities and duties for their families and society, the society develops, the times advance, and the future of the country will be promising.

Today so good are the ideological and spiritual traits of the Korean women who are vigorously advancing the socialist cause under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

It is the firm faith and intention of the Korean women to become genuine women revolutionaries and patriots who glorify the great era.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Despite the prevailing unfavourable subjective and objective situations, our style of socialism is advancing and developing steadily and our state is growing stronger by the day. These achievements would be inconceivable without the loyalty and patriotism of our women, including the members of the women's union, who are pushing forward one of the two wheels of the revolution along the road to victory indicated by the Party."

First, the noble ideological and spiritual traits of the Korean women lie in the fact that they are steadfast revolutionaries who trust in and support only their leader with a single heart and are faithful to the revolutionary cause of the leader.

The ideological and spiritual qualities of the Korean women who have been working world-startling miracles by overcoming trials with a strong will are rooted in boundless loyalty to the leader.

Among them are the faithful woman who told the President that post-war rehabilitation would be no problem if they won the war and assisted the Korean People's Army with all sincerity during the war and such faithfully strong women as the grandmother in Thaesong ri who absolutely defended the Party's lines and policies during the rigorous post-war days, saying that people would only support the President.

Single-hearted loyalty is the true feature of the Korean women remaining faithful to the leader's idea and cause despite the worst adversity.

They are now devoting their all in the construction site of dwelling houses in the capital city, at the workplaces for innovations and the socialist fields and in scientific fields in order to carry out the decisions of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and of plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.

The Korean revolution is advancing according to the timetable set by the Workers' Party of Korea, supported by the indomitable spirit of the Korean women carrying on the fighting spirit and traits displayed by the woman revolutionaries of the preceding generation who devoted their all to the cause of the leader.

Second, the noble ideological and spiritual traits of Korean women lie in the fact that they are all genuine patriots who are giving a boost to the prosperity and development of the country with the boundless devotion and labor.

They have restored the value and dignity of women and added glory to their lives in the bosom of the great motherland. The proud course of the DPRK's development would be inconceivable apart from the Korean women who dedicated themselves to the country.

They have a firm will to fully demonstrate their true mettle in the work for the comprehensive development of the Korean-style socialism.

Their ardent patriotism finds itself in all their heroic deeds of reliably defending the country at the outposts with the arms of the class in their hands, and unhesitatingly volunteering to take on the arduous and difficult tasks of socialist construction wherever the Party wants them, leaving behind the comfortable life in their beloved homes, and in making active contributions to the prosperity of the country, giving priority to state affairs over the family ones.

With the efforts of the Korean women, the possessors of noble virtues who are willing to shoulder heavy burdens in all the severe difficulties and devote everything to the society and the collective, Korean-style socialism is always full of that much more vibrant vim and vigor.

Today Korean women are possessed of such noble ideological and spiritual traits thanks to the guidance of the outstanding leader.

President Kim Il Sung, who paid deep attention to the women's movement in his early years, enforced the Law on Sex Equality and other policies to free the Korean women from ignorance and darkness, all sorts of social inequality, feudal fetters and deprivation of political rights they have suffered for thousands of years and trained them to be revolutionaries and true patriots who were boundlessly loyal to the Party and the revolution.

Chairman Kim Jong Il led the Korean women with great care to fulfil their role of the powerful independent motive force of the revolution.

The course of the Korean women's movement is a praiseworthy one that proved the truth that women can enjoy an independent, worthwhile and happy life only when they are led by the great leader.

It is the unshakable intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to train all the Korean women to be genuine women revolutionaries and staunch patriots true to the lofty will of the great leaders.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made public many works including the immortal classical work "Let the Women's Union Become a Powerful Organization in Propelling the Advance and Development of Our Style of Socialism" to clarify the way ahead of the Korean women's movement and led them to add luster to their life supporting the times, revolution, families and society firmly as cornerstones.

The proud history and tradition of the Korean women's movement are being carried forward firmly under the warm care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and all the Korean women are growing up to be true revolutionaries and genuine patriots who are truly contributing to the prosperity of the country with the noble ideological and spiritual traits.
