President
Chairman
"Our prosperous socialist motherland as well as the great honour and happiness our people enjoy today are due to the life-long efforts of the great leader Comrade
Up-to-date trolley buses made by our own efforts are running on the streets in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK.
Whenever we look at them, one of the main means of transportation for the citizens, they remind us of the great efforts made by President
One day in May, Juche 47 (1958),
And then at several meetings including the Cabinet meetings and the consultative meeting of the leading officials for the construction of Pyongyang,
Under the careful guidance and teachings of the President, the manufacturers made five trolley buses on the occasion of 4th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Having a report on this,
Looking up to
At the trial place,
The President, getting on the trolley bus through the open door, he got off and got on again and he said that it was necessary to make the scaffolding high and well in order to ensure convenience in climbing and descending and to prevent passengers from slipping on rainy or snowy days.
Sitting on a chair, he leaned ever himself against the back and estimated the height of the chair and gave detailed instructions on making the tram so that it would be welcomed by the people.
Then he sat down, saying that he would travel on it.
The trolley was running for some time, and the ball went off and stopped suddenly.
All the men on the trolley leant to one side.
The President also leant somewhat to that side.
However,
The President dismounted from the trolley bus after the trial operation, adding that this was a great progress.
Thanks to the warm care of
There is more about the President's devotion.
One day in December Juche 60 (1971), he said that to completely solve transportation of the capital only is to establish the trolley bus system in Pyongyang, stressing the need to provide the people with more convenient traffic conditions.
Then he stood up and went towards the window.
Looking out of the window, he said that there are still people waiting for the trolleys at the stops because there aren't enough trolley buses, adding that he was sorry to see mothers standing with babies on their back in cold weather.
That day he stressed the need to produce more trolley buses and supply materials necessary for production in good time.
In April, Juche 61(1972), he took pains to provide the people with more convenient and cultured trolley buses watching a newly-made trolley bus and estimated the noise the trolley made.
In July, Juche 61(1972), he asked about trolley bus service at midnight and personally discussed with the officials the method of operation of trolley buses by number which was of great significance in transportation of the capital city, highlighting and circling the items on a paper with a pen.
Our people never forget it.
In an early winter morning, he waited for a trolley bus to come in a freezing weather and left after seeing the trolley coming.
