Glorious Life of Female Educators in Full Bloom under the Warm Care of the Great Love

Seeing the Mother's Day every year, we, female educators, so impressive with the love given by the greatest leaders, strongly feel that we cannot live apart from the warm care of the great sun.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Cherishing ardent patriotism, Korean women have performed brilliant feats in developing and successfully advancing socialism and building a powerful socialist country."

President Kim Il Sung freed Korean women from the fetters of feudalism, who were compelled to bury their youth and talent under a lot of humiliation and disregard, being gripped by the bounds of their homes and in the fetters of feudal ethics that had been handed down for ages, and ensured that they should write down the autobiography of their happy life on their land with the same rights as men's.

During the bloody years of anti-Japanese armed struggle, when the people's government was being established in the guerrilla zones, the President saw to it that the issue of equal rights for both sexes should be included as one article in the "Ten-Point Program of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland", saying that the people's revolutionary government should regard it as its noble duty to give women the same rights as men's, who were suffering from all sorts of humiliation and disregard under the feudal and imperialist oppression.

After the country's liberation, he inspired women with strength and encouragement, saying that they could work well like men in all fields of politics, the economy and culture, and tried to set up them as the proud master of the building of new Korea.

So happy to see the women standing on the platform, who used to be densely illiterate, he gave female educators unusual affection. Under his care, loads of women on this land could grow up into the merited and people's teachers, headmasters, presidents, professors and doctors.

Among them was Kang Chun Gum, a former lecturer of Kim Il Sung University.

On April 24th, Juche 61(1972), when she was called by the President and visited his residence, he asked about her health and work and expressed his great satisfaction, saying that he watched her speech at the national meeting of social scientists on TV that day, which was excellent.

Working as the chief of a department of revolutionary history, Kim Il Sung University at that time, she attended the meeting and made a speech, but never did she dream that the President personally watched her give a speech at the meeting on TV.

When she graduated from Kim Il Sung University and became a teacher there, he recommended that she should major in the revolutionary traditions, the historic root of our Party. When she was awarded an academic degree, he said that it was excellent and encouraged her to be a doctor, saying that there were few female doctors in the country now but should be many in the future.

With parental affection in such a way that he wanted to give children everything in the world, the President personally called her several times and asked about her work and life, giving her warm affection. One day he gave her a wrist watch bearing his esteemed name, sent her to the international seminars several times to help her cultivate judgment and gave her several kinds of data helpful to education and scientific research.

When she completed a book of the revolutionary history with the sole desire of living up to the great care of the President and offered it to him, he called her to his residence on his birthday and posed for photograph with his arm folding hers kindly, saying that the book would be the valuable national wealth to be handed down to posterity along with the history of the WPK, which made him very pleased that day.

Indeed, such his parental love and scrupulous care helped her write lots of good books and teaching materials dedicated to education in revolutionary traditions and become a famous professor and doctor.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, too, always tried to glorify the life of female educators at the highest level.

The story of Jon Hye Yong, teacher at the branch school on Suun Islet, can be cited as an example.

Being satisfied with her volunteering to leave her hometown for the branch school for five children at the lighthouse islet far away from the land, the Chairman took measures to let the whole country know her laudable deed, to let her be awarded Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize, to let her attend large-scale national meetings repeatedly and finally to let her enjoy the highest honour to have a photograph taken with President Kim Il Sung.

The unlimited love and care of the Chairman made her devote her whole life to the educational work for children on the islet for ages.

The parental love of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il for female educators is further blooming by the respected General Secretary who is the same as the great leaders.

Among the numerous facts showing how benevolent leaders the female educators have in high esteem is the impressive one of the 14th national meeting of teachers held in 2019.

The attendants of the meeting had the honour to have a photograph with the respected General Secretary whom they aspired to meet even in their dream.

When he came into the studio, the entire attendants cheered up enthusiastically "hurrah!" looking up to his beaming face.

The respected General Secretary responded to their thunderous cheers and came near the photographing stand, and male and female teachers holding bunches of fragrant flowers made him a bow politely.

The female teacher who had the honour to present him with a bunch of flowers was from Sinpha Primary School, Kim Jong Suk County, Ryanggang Province.

When she presented him with a bunch of flowers reverently, the respected General Secretary offered it back to her.

Then he encouraged her warmly, saying that she would work hard to grow up talents, thus achieving a great success in her training talents.

Indeed, the bunch of flowers given to her by him was associated with enthusiastic congratulation and warm blessing not only for her but also for all the female educators across the country.

The female educators who live under the warm care of the respected General Secretary are the happiest people in the world.
