The respected Comrade
"Undertaking for the wellbeing of the younger generations is the most important of affairs of our Party."
President
His endless love for our children is reflected in school uniforms and school things that our students receive every year.
On the 22nd of March 1977, Juche 66, the President, despite of his packed schedule, looked around the exhibits of the clothes and the school things that would be given to all the children across the country as gifts on the occasion of April the 15th.
Personally examining all the gift products including the school uniforms, shoes and bags displayed separately according to the stages of schooling and genders, the President appreciated their quality and also pointed out some of their shortcomings.
Carefully looking at the board which showed the number of students and kindergarteners across the country to be given the gifts and the cost of gifts for each, he was very pleased about the huge number of students of our country.
The total expenditure on the gift to our children accounted for approximately 10% of our country's annual state budget and also equaled to 3 months' salary to all the workers of the country.
The President had always been pouring all his love and care to our children regarding them as the kings of the country, and that day he devoted his all to provide our children with the best and most beautiful things.
When he reached the display section of the school things, one of the officials said to him that they had taken measures to produce rubbers as instructed by the President and now the production was going on.
A couple of days ago, the President noticed that the rubber was missing in the list of the school things while he was checking the list of gifts. And he sent his own rubber as a sample to that official so they could make identical ones for our students' use. Still worried, he explained its advantages, and stressed that rubbers should be exactly the same as the sample.
After taking a careful look into all the school things, he was satisfied with their high quality and highly appreciated those products.
Then, the President moved to the place where the students and children, from kindergarten to university, were brilliantly dressed in the beautiful new school uniforms and clothes they had received as presents, waiting for his review. He stopped before the kindergarteners and pupils and asked the kids their names, ages and their parents' job and asked if they liked the clothes. He examined their clothes carefully with his paternal affection.
This was not the first time that he spared his precious time for the production of the uniforms of our students. Even during the difficult time of post-Korean war rehabilitation he took measures to provide students with winter and summer clothes and each time he personally viewed the samples.
And once, in January, he stopped the car around the River Pothong on the way to his field guidance and happily watched the young children having a snowball fight laughing with pleasure in new overcoats and said that it was his happiest moment. And also on this day he spared his valuable time to look at the uniforms and was very satisfied.
On the day above said, the President went to the place where the boy students were standing in new smart uniforms and looked into their clothes with deep concern and pointed out all the shortcomings.
That day, the President spent a long time to look through all the gift products for the children and highly appreciated the hard work of the officials.
Indeed, the gifts that all the children of the country received at the same time on the occasion of April the 15th are permeated with the great fatherly love of our President.
