Anyone who visit Pyongyang, the Capital of socialist Korea, can see trams of a new type running dynamically along the streets to satisfy the traffic convenience for people, which were made by their own efforts and wisdom.
This smart tram is associated with the devotion and laborious work of the respected General Secretary who has an ardent love for people, which is always remembered by Korean people.
In August, 6 years ago, he gave on-the-spot guidance to a trial run of new type-tram which was made by Korean working class in the dark streets of the Capital.
That day, regardless of the hot weather with the sun heating the atmosphere, he found himself on the spot and saw the tram of a new type. He decided the route and time for a trial run, mindful if there might be any fault in the tram that would be used by people, and personally guided the work with no time to recover from his fatigue.
Getting on the tram first and looking around the interior, he expressed great satisfaction. When the tram set out, the respected General Secretary kept watchful about the inconvenience people might feel while using and acquainted himself with the state of the tram in every way, finally saying that he felt very satisfied to see the creative quality of our working class.
Senior officials were deeply impressed with the beaming smile of the respected General Secretary who said that Pyongyang would be face-lifted again when the newly made trams ran along the streets and people would be pleased when the trams of a new type started running.
Really, he is the great fatherly leader who devotes his all to the happiness of people with an ardent love for people cherished in mind, feeling as if he would pick up the star from the sky and make flowers bloom on the stone for the goodness of people, which is why his face was so beamed with a big smile, imagining them feeling happy to their hearts' content.
It was at that time that the tram entered a terminal of the trial run route and the respected General Secretary was about to get off. He stopped at a platform, turned round and touched rubber carpet on the deck to see the state of carpet and its colour.
At the moment the officials felt a lump in their throat with a sense of great emotions.
There are many countries and leaders in the world, many of whom put on a show of advocating politics for people, but where is such a leader as ours who personally got on the tram that would be used by ordinary people, gave guidance to a trial run and even touched the rubber carpet to see if there might be any inconvenience for people when they got on and off in such a hot weather!
Indeed, the respected General Secretary is the great people's leader, the benevolent fatherly leader who feels most pleased at the happiness of people and regards all kinds of painstaking efforts for the sake of people as the greatest comfort.
