The Immortal Exploits Of Bringing About The Great Auspicious Event Of The DPRK, The Upsurge In Juche Vinalon Production In The 21st Century

With absolute loyalty to President Kim Il Sung and warm love for the country and people, Chairman Kim Jong Il wisely led the Korean people in their struggle to bring about a turn in building a powerful socialist country and thus achieved the immortal exploits of ushering in the great auspicious event of the DPRK, the upsurge in Juche vinalon production in the 21st century.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"General Kim Jong Il's was the most brilliant life of a peerlessly great man who performed immortal exploits for the Party and the revolution, the country and the people, true to the noble intentions of President Kim Il Sung."

Vinalon, a fibre made from limestone, abundant in nature, was a surprise to the world in the 20th century and the legacy of the President of the love for the country and people. It revived in the 21st century as a precious creation by the noble devotion of Chairman Kim Jong Il, through the production process which was rebuilt and modernized to meet the requirements of the era of knowledge-based economy, smashing the vicious moves of the hostile forces to isolate and stifle the DPRK.

Chairman Kim Jong Il unfolded a grand plan to build the vinalon industry associated with the immortal exploits of the President into the Juche-oriented vinalon industry in the 21st century based on the latest technology, and wisely led the struggle for its realization.

In March Juche 88(1999), he visited Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences and said that the vinalon industry could benefit economically only from the development of various valuable products from the vinalon intermediates as the cotton production alone is not profitable, and he earnestly stressed the need to develop the technology for producing new products by introducing cutting-edge technology to the vinalon industry in the near few years.

In August Juche 96(2007), he highly appreciated the fact that the officials, workers and technicians of the February 8 Vinalon Complex invented a lot of equipment with their own efforts and technology and dynamically carried out the work of rebuilding the factory to make a breakthrough in the growth of production while saving raw and other materials. He stressed the need to step up the technical upgrading to put on a steady basis the basic chemical production which was closely related with the people's livelihood, taking thoroughgoing measures to fully supply raw and other materials.

The officials, workers, technicians and volunteers of the complex with a proud tradition of carrying out any difficult tasks unconditionally as instructed by the Party, have successfully carried out the gigantic task of the first-stage project in a short span of time, fully displaying their unparalleled devotion and mass heroism.

Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the complex in May Juche 97(2008) and expressed great satisfaction over the successful completion of the first-stage project, equivalent to the construction of a large-scale factory, and indicated the tasks and ways to further strengthen the Juche character of the chemical industry by actively developing and introducing the technology to produce various new products from vinalon intermediates.

In February Juche 98(2009), he visited the complex again and helped them solve knotty problems with his warm love and benevolence.

The officials and workers of the complex, greatly encouraged by his deep trust and love, invented and manufactured dozens of equipment and built up the modern agrochemical and dye production lines in a short span of time, thus creating miracles of renovating the existing production processes completely.

Pooling their wisdom and strength and vigorously waging the campaign for reconstructing the synthetic and polymeric systems, they solved with their own efforts and technology the scientific and technological problems including the source program, and introduced computer-based automatic control systems in 10-odd chemical production processes, thus putting the vinalon industry on a CNC basis.

When visiting the complex on February 7 and 9, Juche 99(2010), Chairman Kim Jong Il looked at the vinalon cotton pouring out again in 16 years from the spinners, tow-to-sliver machines and fallers and said that the Juche vinalon cotton, soft and fluffy like feathers, was wonderful textile material as good as cotton wool and wool. He added that it was very impressive to see the piles of white and silky vinalon cotton and he was pleased that the Korean people could actually benefit from the vinalon.

On March 5, Juche 99(2010), he sent his special letter of thanks to the workers of the complex who brought about the great auspicious event of the DPRK, the upsurge in Juche vinalon production, and on March 6, he attended the Hamhung citizens' mass rally celebrating the inauguration of the modern vinalon factory, warmly congratulating the workers of the February 8 Vinalon Complex and other local citizens.

He visited the complex several times in August Juche 99(2010) and January, August, October and December Juche 100(2011) and energetically led it to refurbish the overall production processes including the horizontal spinning workshop and the fibre workshop to ensure their normal operation.

As a result, the February 8 Vinalon Complex opened up a firm prospect of fully supplying the light industry factories with Juche-oriented, locally-produced raw and other materials by increasing the production of Juche vinalon fibre and hundreds of basic chemical products necessary for the improvement of the people's living standard.

Indeed, Chairman Kim Jong Il was a peerlessly great man who developed the patriotic heritage of President Kim Il Sung into a brilliant reality and achieved immortal exploits by devoting his all to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.
