Everyone sheds tears in the northwestern tip of the DPRK in the basin of the Amnok River which was turned into a sea of natural disasters.
Why do they cry shedding tears so unrestrainedly?
The respected Comrade
"Our Party will, in the future, too, endeavor to fulfil its heavy yet sacred mission as a motherly party that, full of infinite vitality and untiring zeal, invariably works with affection for the people and devotes its all to their interests. It will also remain boundlessly faithful to its basic duty of taking full responsibility for their destiny, whatever the storms."
Today, the melody of a song reverberates through the areas which were hit by flood as residents shed tears of gratitude.
Blue is the sky and gay is my heart
The sound of an accordion rings out far and wide
…
It may be regarded as abnormal for flood victims to sing the song so joyously.
But it is reality.
All the people across the country join them in singing, their eyes filled with tears of emotion.
And they solemnly look up to the sacred flag of the Workers' Party of Korea fluttering high in the sky.
Who could imagine it?
On July 27 2024, a record downpour struck the northern border of the DPRK and the areas of the Chinese side and the water level of the Amnok River far exceeded the danger line. This created a serious crisis, in which more than 5 000 inhabitants were isolated in the zones vulnerable to flooding in several island areas of the city of Sinuiju and Uiju County of North Phyongan Province.
At that time, the respected General Secretary
Seeing so unexpectedly the great father, who rescued all the flood victims from the jaws of death and waited for them at an airbase exposed to heavy rainstorm, they broke into cheers, shedding tears of deep gratitude.
Even after waiting for the last helicopter to come in the cold rain, the General Secretary saw to it that a scouting flight was reorganized at the helipad though the floodwater swelled every moment.
Only after receiving a report on the result of the scouting flight on the dangerous spot to which the floodwater rushed threateningly every moment, he left the airbase in his field car running through the muddy water that was rushing up near to the car window.
On July 29, he went to the stricken spot and looked round the flooded area on a rubber boat for two hours.
A few hours later, an emergency enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee to be specially recorded in the history of the Party was convened in the conference room of the field train, in which the sacred red Party flag was hanging, and the following day a decision of the Party was adopted on an inundated paddy field.
On August 8 and 9, he unfolded an honourable battle front for providing the residents with excellent cradles as early as possible and came to the spot on his train with the relief materials prepared by the Party Central Committee and saw to it that they were conveyed to the people. They had not imagined even in dreams that they would see the benevolent father again in their temporary shelter.
But it was not a dream.
The respected General Secretary
They shed tears of gratitude for the immense benevolence and deep affection shown by him.
The whole country was turned into a sea of tears of emotion.
The flood-stricken people in Jagang and Ryanggang provinces also gratefully received the relief materials associated with the loving care of the great father who took measures to immediately send them to the flood victims who were filled with optimism believing in the Party only.
Even after solving every problem for the residents of the stricken areas, he still felt uneasy and took a state measure to bring children, students, sickly people, honoured disabled soldiers and the old to the capital city of Pyongyang for special recuperation.
The Korean people across the country shed tears in excitement as the sincerity of the General Secretary, who repeatedly came to them and looked after them day and night and without sleep, anxious about their hard life, touched their hearts and they are now determined to repay the care and trust shown by him by devoting their blood and sweat.
The Korean people are unafraid of any great disaster as they are led by the General Secretary who devotes his all to defending and upholding the people and endlessly shoulders the big load for the people, regarding pains taken for them as the greatest honour, and the cheers of hurrah for the Workers' Party and socialism will soon resound more loudly in the reconstruction sites.
World people! Imagine the epoch-making changes and the people's paradise that will rise on the ruins left by the natural disaster!
