The most important immortal exploit of the WPK, which has brought about great leaps forward and an era of changes on this land by giving full rein to the great spiritual strength of Kim Il Sung's nation, is that it established a socialist state demonstrating its might with independence, self-sustenance and self-reliance in national defence on this land which had been riddled with destitution and backwardness.

Our struggle for building socialism was an arduous and gruelling journey to go along an untrodden path from scratch.

Our Party channelled big efforts into education in the Juche idea at every stage of the revolutionary struggle for building socialism in order to implant into the people the firm faith and will that master of one's destiny is oneself and one has the strength to shape one's own destiny, or the strong spirit of independence.

It also put forward the line of independence, self-sustenance and self-reliance in defence, the line of the three revolutions and other revolutionary lines and modes of our style and, in the course of thoroughly applying them, made the people give full play to their spiritual strength.

Another immortal exploit of the WPK is that it firmly safeguarded the socialist cause of Juche in the worldwide political upheavals unprecedented in history.

There was a big change in the world's political landscape and balance of power in the 1990s. And the imperialists reached extremes in their attempt to isolate and stifle the DPRK, the bulwark of socialism.

The Korean people were compelled to make an Arduous March as they suffered serious hardship in economic life due to the imperialists' economic blockade, the collapse of the world's socialist market and devastating natural disasters.

To the DPRK, those were the days of do-or-die offensive and defence battle for protecting socialism of Juche from the enemy's extreme military threats and economic blockade.

In such a period of trying ordeals, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il administered Songun politics to wisely lead our Party and people to the struggle for tiding over the crisis and defending the socialist cause of Juche.

Our Party thoroughly applied the Songun-based political mode put forth by the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il to arouse the people to the campaign for defending socialism.

As our Party's Songun politics was reliably backed up by its revolutionary and popular ideological work, the People's Army was strengthened and developed into an army strongest in ideas and faith and truly revolutionary armed forces and our people grew up into a staunch people strong in ideas and faith and the most revolutionary people.

The greatest spiritual strength of the world that was built up by our Party overpowered and crushed the moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK as they pursued high-handedness and arbitrariness, thereby fully demonstrating the dignity and might of Juche Korea to the whole world.

At present, the imperialists still remain unchanged in their aggressive ambition to stifle our socialism. But Korean socialism steadily wins one victory after another.

This is owing to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is the peerlessly brilliant commander, the army with an indomitable spirit and strong ideas and faith and the DPRK's firm single-hearted unity around the leader.

This great victory that our Party has achieved in the campaign for defending socialism is the greatest miracle unheard-of in history and a landmark event in world history that humbled the imperialists and frustrated their wild ambition for domination under the eyes of the world.

The other immortal exploit of the WPK is that it brought about great leaps forward and innovations in the struggle for building a powerful socialist country.

The powerful socialist country we are building is a socialist power of Juche that is built on the spiritual strength of Kim Il Sung's nation and Kim Jong Il's Korea.

The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il who had put forward the plan for effecting a turn in the building of a powerful socialist nation specified detailed issues arising in kindling the flames of great upswing on all fronts of the building of a powerful nation on the great spiritual strength of Kim Il Sung's nation in June Juche 98(2009) and wisely led the efforts to this end.

Thanks to the Party's endeavours to effect a fresh revolutionary upswing by giving free rein to the strength of the indomitable spirit of Kim Il Sung's nation, the Kanggye spirit was created, the torches of Songgang and Ranam were lit and the Arduous March and forced march were brought to a successful conclusion.

Owing to the spiritual strength, a wonderful reality unfolded, in which homemade satellites move round the earth in outer space, homemade aircraft fly in the air and homemade tube trains run under ground. It also enabled us to create the new spirit of the times like the spirit of Kangwon Province and perform such eye-opening miracles as the building of Ryomyong Street and the rebuilding of Samjiyon City in the worst adversity.

Defence scientists waged a death-defying campaign for carrying out the militant tasks set forth by the Party, thus bringing about great events to be specially etched in national history in succession.

Juche Korea might not have attained the present highest strategic status if our people had had no determination to realize their dream and idea by their own efforts and the indomitable fighting spirit of braving all difficulties.

The practical experience of our revolution demonstrates that when we give full play to the great spiritual strength of Kim Il Sung's nation under the wise leadership of the Party, can we build a powerful socialist country on this land without fail.
