Devotion for the people's happiness

Now all the Korean people are performing miracles and feats day by day at every site of the great upsurge, full of boundless gratitude to and admiration for the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is making tireless efforts for the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"In our society nothing is more honourable and worthwhile than to serve the people faithfully and devote one's life to the happiness of the people."

It would be impossible to conceive of the bright future of the DPRK as a powerful and prosperous socialist country without the endless love for the people of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is making selfless and devoted efforts for them as the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il did.

They still vividly remember the day marking the beginning of a new century of the Juche era, when they looked up with deep emotions to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who expressed his firm determination to ensure that his people, who are the best in the world and who have remained faithful to the Workers' Party of Korea in the face of all manner of difficulties, would not have to tighten their belts again but enjoy all the benefits of socialism.

Mindful of the pledge he made before the people, the country and the revolution, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un devoted his all for the sake of the people every minute of the day, making exacting demands on himself and blazing a trail on virgin snow in the efforts to provide them with all the benefits of socialism.

Thanks to his ennobling love for the people, monumental edifices resounding with happy laughter of the people sprang up across the country.

Among them are Ryugyong Health Complex, People's Open-air Ice Rink, Rungna Dolphinarium, renovated Central Zoo, Munsu Water Park, Masikryong Ski Resort and Yangdok Hot Spring Resort and so on.

He finds the pride of a revolutionary and the greatest delight of life in their happiness and pleasure. Whenever each of the brilliant achievements was made, he said that he was most pleased when he had done something good for the people; the people's happiness and pleasure was precisely his happiness and pleasure; it was his invariable will and determination to provide our people with the best thing in the world.

Every part of the country is associated with such ennobling love for the people and has footprints of his patriotic devotion.

I am very pleased that I have done another worthwhile job for the people; this is the source of my happiness－this is what he said while looking round the brilliant creations of the era of the Workers' Party including the Medical Oxygen Plant, the Pyongyang Bag Factory and the Ryugyong Kimchi Factory, a model one of its kind.

How could it be possible to describe all his painstaking efforts exerted in his endless journey for the improvement of the people's standard of living, true to the intentions of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who regarded the people as their God.

Cherishing the ennobling idea that the people are his mentor and the most precious being in the world, he is always on the road for their happiness regardless of the heavy rain or whether it is midnight or dawn.

On a rainy day of August, Juche 110(2021), he looked round the construction site of the Pothong Riverside Terraced Houses District which had been changed beyond recognition. Calling for carefully making and implementing a plan for urban construction for raising the level of modernization and civilization of the capital city and local cities and towns, he underscored the need to lay out buildings, facilities, roads, green spaces and all other elements from the viewpoint of interconnection so that the most convenient and hygienic environment can be provided for the people. He also pointed to the need to make the configurations of cities and towns diverse, attractive and unique so as to create features peculiar to each of them.

That day he looked round the flats until late at night with great attention to detail lest the dwellers would feel any inconvenience.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is devoting himself to the people, the DPRK is adding brilliance to its name as a genuine people's country ensuring every happiness in their life.
