The respected General Secretary, who always thinks of an affluent life of people, visited Yangdok in August Juche107(2018) to build a wonderful hot spring resort. It was scorching midnight.
The respected General Secretary, who was deeply concerned about the issue of making the effective use of hot springs in the county and studied the data on hot springs in detail, visited here with the blueprint to build a comprehensive and modern hot spring resort for people to cure diseases and take cultural breaks in the hot springs of Yangdok.
That day, the respected General Secretary said there are many hot springs in different parts of the country with excellent scenery and are very good for health and medical treatment of the people, adding that he looked round the hot springs in Yangdok County, which was regarded as a favorable area, and wanted to create a wonderful hot spring resort.
Looking round the hot springs in Onjong–ri of Yangdok County for a long time, he learned personally about the elution and water temperature of the hot springs and other important characteristics, and identified it as the appropriate site for hot spring resort.
The shower poured down while he was going to one elution, but he looked at the elution where the hot spring water were streaming out steadily, smiling as if he had found any jewelry and dipped his hand in the hot spring water which was at tens of degrees Celsius....
This led to a new history of the great creation of the hot spring resort, the first in the DPR Korea, in Yangdok area which had been quite for so long.
With that ardent desire, the respected General Secretary devoted his efforts to providing people with a world-level hot spring resort as soon as possible, carving out the traces of his devotion in August and October, Juche 107 (2018), and in April, August and October, November and December, Juche 108 (2019).
The General Secretary, who always put the people at the centre of all thought and activities, initiated to build an ideal resort combined with skiing and hot spring bath and designated the place on the spot. He also saw to it that a horse-riding park was built so that the visitors could ski, ride horses and enjoy various sports and cultural life while taking hot spring bath.
The respected General Secretary continued to visit the construction site to build Yangdok Hot Spring Resort in boiling midsummer days, chilly and frosty autumn days shouldering the burden of being the initiator, operator and owner of the construction and personally examined guided about 2000 miniatures to build the resort into a model and standard of modern architecture in perfect harmony of Juche character, national character and originality.
The construction of Yangdok Hot Spring Resort was by no means for privileged people. The respected General Secretary put his heart and soul to it because it was a hot spring resort for all people.
The people's laughter is overflowing day and night in this people's resort, the height of Socialist Civilization.
Yangdok Hot Spring Resort, which has emerged as the fairyland of the era of the Workers' Party of Korea, will picture the bright future of a new victory and resound with the people's romantic laughter and hurrah for socialism.
