Children in kindergarten have an active temperament, not staying silent. They like to prattle, laugh loudly, and jump rather than walk quietly.
Kyongsang Kindergarten is in the central part of Pyongyang, the capital city of Juche Korea. There teachers were busy finding a method of education suited to the children's minds. Therefore it was planned to draw a footprint on the floor of the stairs of the kindergarten.
This made it possible to walk on the right side spontaneously for any children who freely wandered the kindergarten, even though they had been awakened several times before.
In the end, the sign of the footprint replaced the voice of the teachers who often emphasized we should go on the right side again and again every day.
The picture on the floor of the stairs of Kyongsang Kindergarten reflected the active, fresh and unique educational method of making children move by their own efforts by sustaining their minds.
One day in July Juche101(2012), the respected General Secretary visited the Kyongsang Kindergarten. He looked at the pictures of the footprints of the children on the stairs and said that the footprints were really good and the idea was original.
He also mentioned that those would help children walk on right side along them, even though they were not asked to do so and praised that the kindergarten taught children traffic rules naturally.
That day he highly appreciated the efforts of the president and teachers who had devoted their sincerity to developing the intelligence of preschool children and training their talents, saying that the kindergarten was very well built to suit the children's minds and everything was wonderful and outstanding.
This appreciation reflects the great trust, duty and expectation of the respected General Secretary who wishes them to develop the preschool children's intelligence, train their talents and make redouble efforts for the children.
