To live a long and healthy life is a dream of people all over the world.
It is now coming reality in one country where every single act of the state is oriented towards the interest of the masses under the people-centered socialist system thanks to the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Today, any single citizen of the DPRK can get the very expensive cure at the state's expense under the socialist health care system, which a lot of people in other countries dare not to get owing to the cost.
Being responsible for the WPK's health care policy, health workers of the DPRK are creating endless legends of virtue with their devoting effort and noble humanity, which has become the envy of the world.
One of them is about a disabled ex-servicewoman and her baby. In August, 2024, she realized that she had a baby, and that's when she felt worried rather than delighted because her health was not so good but indeed getting worse. But thanks to the socialist health care system and the tireless effort of the doctors and nurses, she received a supreme health care service in Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and gave birth.
There also goes one anecdote of a citizen living in Sinchon County, South Hwanghae Province, whose daughter got a surgery for hereditary heart disease in Okryu Children's Hospital and got back to life thanks to selfless devotion of the medical personnel in cardiovascular surgery department. At that time, that citizen expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the socialist health care system in a moving tone.
Ri Kwang Un from Phohang District, Chongjin City also has a very moving tale about the socialist health care system.
One day, when it was almost the end of the year 2024, his son got a serious injury from an accident. He could save his life in the end after several dozen days of intensive treatment but he was not happy with his condition that he lost faith in his recovering from carpal bone fracture coupled with dislocation.
Then, the medical personnel of the Department of Orthopedics in the hospital of Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences took responsibility of curing him. For that, they did a very sophisticated surgery and then looked after to their best. Thanks to their effort, he could fully recover from his injury and live a normal life like others.
The stories carrying selfless devotion and warm-hearted humanity are run of the mill in the DPRK.
Citizens of the DPRK live a peaceful and civilized life with a bright view on the promising future, building this country into a better place, a life of the champions of the socialist system and of the genuine patriots who put state affairs before anything else.
