The Supply Order kept by the Great Leader at the Gas Station

 2024.9.6.

President Kim Il Sung said:

"It is the motto of Comrade Kim Jong Il to love the people dearly and serve them."

There are a number of moving anecdotes recorded in the history of revolutionary activities of Chairman Kim Jong Il telling his noble virtue that he'd never abused any privileges.

Here goes another story which shows his noble deeds observing the rule.

On October 17, 1972, the car carried by Chairman Kim Jong Il who was on his way to field guidance was heading for a gasoline service station in Pyongyang City.

That day, the station was very busy with the cars for service.

According to the rules, cars had to go through the entrance and out of the exit of the station.

The driver drove straight towards the exit as Chairman Kim Jong Il was occupied with his work.

However, the guard stopped the car and asked the driver to drive back to the entrance.

The driver was embarrassed and he tried to persuade the guard, saying he was in a hurry, but he wouldn't listen.

Then, the guard heard a voice from the inside telling the driver to keep the rule as the door was left half open.

Chairman Kim Jong Il got out of the car with a bright smile and made an apology for the driver breaking the rule. He continued the driver had driven to the exit as it was his first visit to the station.

This time an official in charge of the station looking round the yard realized and got to know what had happened.

It took him some time to grasp that in the car was Chairman Kim Jong Il on his way to the field guidance.

He owed an apology for the delay and made a gesture at the guard to pass the car.

The driver could divine what the official was thinking, and tried to get service first.

Now Chairman Kim Jong Il stopped him and said we were no exception to this rule and had to wait in a queue, thus keeping the public order as people do.

As mentioned above, Chairman Kim Jong Il was boundlessly modest who regarded himself as the son of the working people and did not abuse any privileges and preferences as well as observing the law and order of the state as the people do.
