One Hour And Thirty Minutes Devoted To Service Personnel

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Rason through the long air, overland and sea routes for the second time on October 7 Juche 104(2015) on the threshold of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the glorious Workers' Party of Korea which would be celebrated significantly as a great revolutionary happy event that would especially be etched in the history of the DPRK.

He happily feasted his eyes on the beautiful socialist village spreading like a piece of picture at the foot of a mountain with no trace of natural disaster. Beaming brightly as he looked towards the then Paekhak-dong, he said that another beautiful village was built in a matter of 30 days to turn the sad cries of flood victims who had been left homeless into the shouts of "Long live the Workers' Party" and "Long live socialism" and make the sky in October clearer and that the Korean People's Army reliably performed its mission and duty of fighting for the well-being and happiness of the people through the recent rehabilitation campaign in Rason City, as a token of his appreciation for the feats of soldier builders.

As he looked round the enchanting village, he smiled broadly all through as if everything he saw and heard in every place was just a joy. He said that to think of the feats the service personnel achieved on the Rason front, it is heart-warming and he cannot repress the urge to boast of them to the world, adding he could not leave without having a photograph taken with them.

Looking at the accompanying officials, he said that he had failed to see service personnel and give them any pep talk for lack of time on his previous visit, that it had weighed heavily on his mind and that he would have a photo taken with all the service personnel who took part in the rehabilitation campaign that day.

The officials let out a shout of joy at that moment, but the joy soon gave way to worry. Because as the photo shooting was not on the day's schedule, no shooting stand was available and no other preparations had been made for the immediate shot.

Moreover, it would take much time to bring together tens of thousands of soldiers.

Therefore, an official told the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un about it with a perplexed look.

Then Kim Jong Un, pushing his back, told him to bring all the soldiers involved in the construction of dwelling houses, saying he would wait, however busy he was, and to arrange things to have a picture taken with the newly built houses as the background.

The officials were worried about his long wait for soldiers and, looking at them, he smiled cheerfully and said that he was very pleased that day, that nothing is more joyful and fulfilling than this and that as he always emphasizes, nothing is more important than the things for the good of the people. On arrival at the place commanding the complete view of the new dwelling house district, he appointed the place of shooting as he told the photographer to get the soldiers to stand long in rows in a vast open space in front of the houses and take the photo so that the whole view of the houses standing closely could be seen.

Meanwhile, officials made arrangements immediately and hustled about sweating heavily to bring together service personnel dispersed in different places.

Their single mind was to gather soldiers as early as possible to lighten the burden on him.

But their number was so enormous that one hour and thirty minutes passed relentlessly.

Finally, tens of thousands of service members came together on a ridge in front of Paekhak-dong like a mass of clouds.

Then Kim Jong Il appeared at the shooting place.

That moment, every service member moved excitedly.

They vied with each other to see longer and get closer to their Supreme Commander whom they had longed to see even in dreams than others as they stretched themselves and swayed like waves. The looks of them vividly reflected the artless mind of soldiers who trusted and followed him as their father.

No one had ever seen such a "sea" in the world.

And no one had ever seen such a wave.

Everyone from the young private to the general forgot the word of concession and rolled like waves.

Kim Jong Un visited Rason twice at intervals of only 20 days by covering long distance. On his first visit he said that he came as he would be able to feel relaxed only after looking round the rehabilitation site and on the second tour he said that he came as he would be able to feel relieved only after seeing the newly built houses first.

Looking at him, the service personnel in the front rows smiled and wept with joy and those behind held up high their hands.

Tears endlessly rolled down the faces of the stout men who performed world-startling miracles in a matter of a month.

Kim Jong Un with a broad smile on his face waved back to the soldiers giving him thunderous cheers rocking heaven and earth.

To take the photo of tens of thousands of soldiers at the same time, photographers mounted the highly lifted bucket of a backhoe.

Such photo shooting might be unprecedented in human history.

Kim Jong Un seated himself on the uneven ground unceremoniously and around him were the tight and long rows of the service members smiling and weeping for joy

Although they had waited so eagerly for that moment of posing for a camera with their Supreme Commander, no one knew that he waited for all of them to gather for one hour and thirty minutes.

One hour and thirty minutes!

It was the incredibly precious time for Kim Jong Un as he has worked by reducing ten or one hundred days to one to usher in a great heyday of the country.

However, he unsparingly devoted the time to the service personnel who implemented the order of the Workers' Party of Korea even at the risk of their lives to keep the people's confidence in the Party and who performed world-startling miracles and feats by building up a beautiful socialist village in the afflicted area in only one month with a yearning for their Supreme Commander.

He cared so much for the soldiers as he was eager to give greater prominence to the feats of soldier builders who defended the prestige of the Party.

The world of his humanity is so great he said that to think of the feats the service personnel achieved on the Rason front, it was heart-warming and he could not repress the urge to boast of them to the world, and that he could not leave without having a photograph taken with them, and waited for a long time for tens of thousands of service personnel to gather in one place.

Indeed, Kim Jong Un writes the history of great love with his burning affection and the service personnel of the KPA continue to create epoch-making miracles with a deep yearning for him.
