The Nameplate with the Name Written by the Great Leader

 2023.10.19.

President Kim Il Sung was the benevolent father of the people who worshiped the people all his life and gave love to them.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Comrade Kim Il Sung was a great leader of the people who put forward the masses, once oppressed and exploited, as the masters of history, and raised their dignity and value to the highest level possible."

The villages of the Sijok sub-county (then), Taedong county in South Phyongan Province has warm love stories of President Kim Il Sung for the people, who devoted his all to the freedom and happiness of the people all his life when he visited to guide the successful implementation of the agrarian reform shortly after the liberation.

On March 10, Juche 35(1946), the President visited the Naeri village in the Sijok sub-county of Taedong County in South Phyongan Province, and after having exchanged greetings with the officials of the rural committee, he sat down in the yard without reserve to learn in details about the agrarian reform work in the village.

When the chairman of the rural committee of the village told the President that he was so tired because he had no idea how to deal with difficult and complicated work like the agrarian reform, the President taught them several methods they were anxious about.

After a while, old people in the village ran to see President Kim Il Sung.

After having all the old people come to the front, President asked about the agrarian reform.

Saying they had fulfilled their lifelong wishes of farming on their own land thanks to General Kim Il Sung, the old people gave him a bow. President said that he was overjoyed for them to be so pleased, but the land was not given by himself but they, the original owners of the land took it back, and that the land originally belonged to the peasants ploughing the land.

President continued to tell them about the grim plight our peasants had through generations because they had no land, and how the genuine revolutionaries fought to find the land, and that no one could seize the land and we should not be deprived of the land again, and that in order to do so, they should fulfil the duties of masters of the land.

That day, President, who was talking to the peasants, asked where local big landlord in the vicinity had been.

When he was told that the landlord had been in neighboring Songmun village (then), he stood up, saying that he would visit there.

When the President entered the landlord's gate, all the peasants who had been farmhands there came out and fell on their knees and made a big bow.

Stopping them doing so, he raised them up and walked slowly into the yard.

Looking through the structure of the house with tens of bedrooms, he heard about how bad the landlord had been and said that the landlord was that wicked kind and we must make sure that there is no place for them in the future by agrarian reform.

Then the peasants of the village had seats like a family with the President.

The President repeatedly offered all the old people sitting on the floor to come into the room.

So even the old men who had been lifelong servants in this house all came in.

President, who had been watching them all sitting on their knees even then, told them that his own grandfather, who was bent over farming for all his life, was like the old men in the house, and asked them to sit down to warmer place.

The old men, who were first treated like a human, felt their tears welling up.

Having heard all the heartbreaking stories of the old who had lived since their childhood as a lifelong servant, President said to officials of the rural committee that they should give them the best of the landlord's land and give them the best things in the house.

The people were so surprised that they looked each other.

An old man whose hair turned grey living in a farm hut of the landlord Pak with his son was so grateful that he burst into tears.

President said that he would write the name of Pak Jang Ban on the nameplate for the gate who had had the most miserable days slaving in the landlord's house in Songmun village for 20 years before liberation.

Then he personally wrote the name of Pak Jang Ban on the nameplate and hung it on the gate.

He couldn't believe that he who had been born despised and managed to survive day after day became the master of that big house, so he kept gazing up the nameplate with his name on it.

He went out to the field with him and made sure the richest field to be distributed to him and told him to keep his land forever.

Indeed, it was the warm love and benevolence of President to all the peasants in the country who had been repressed by the landlords and subjected to maltreatment.

President Kim Il Sung who devoted his whole life to the struggle for building a paradise for human love was the great leader and benevolent father of the people.
