The Story of Forcing his Way through the Blizzards of Mt Paektu

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"The General Kim Jong Il regarded it as his lifelong mission to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered on Paektu down through the generations, and he devoted his all to the victory of the revolution and to the country and people."

Today, looking at studying tour parties ceaselessly climbing Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution, we recall the noble picture of Chairman Kim Jong Il, who led all the service personnel and people of the DPRK to live and struggle with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu in their minds, forcing his way through the blizzards of Mt. Paektu.

It was one day in February, 1999 when blizzards were raging in the area of Mt. Paektu.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, who was going on his field guidance to the Samjiyon area, suddenly made the officials stop the car.

The officials couldn't know the reason. He suggested that they should go on foot to the crossroads of Mt. Paektu with him.

Worrying about the terrible weather conditions in the area of Mt. Paektu, where the temperature was falling down to-40℃ and severe snowstorms were raging, they asked him again and again to take the car.

He told them that only when they walked along the icy road to Mt. Paektu, they could know how Korean revolution had cut its way through bloody battles and how much hardship President Kim Il Sung had suffered on Mt. Paektu for the liberation of Korea. Then he stepped forward without giving them any time to stop him.

The blizzard of Mt. Paektu, by which the birds fell to the ground and the animals found it difficult to go in the right direction, blew harder as if it was to prove the marchers' faith and will, but he was in the lead through the blizzard-swept road.

At last, he reached the crossroads to stand with the snow-covered forest and field in the background. And then he said we should keep in mind the revolutionary spirit of Mt. Paektu forever to defend Korean-style socialist system, which President Kim Il Sung established after a long period of enduring hardships in the harsh climate of Mt. Paektu.

The day was February 19, 1999, twenty-five years after the significant day when he had proclaimed the programme for modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism.

He was convinced and determined to accomplish the sacred revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by President Kim Il Sung with the revolutionary spirit of Mt. Paektu, no matter how violent wind may blow up along the road of the Korean revolution.

He advanced in the head of the march through the blizzard-swept road to Mt. Paektu pioneered by President Kim Il Sung to teach us the truth that there is a key to the accomplishment of Korean revolutionary cause.

Today, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, another illustrious commander is leading the road to Mt. Paektu in the head of the revolution.
