The respected General Secretary said that when flood disaster occurred in some areas in 2024, the WPK launched a huge restoration project with its timely decision and, at the same time, put into operation an emergency system for bringing the flood victims to the capital city of Pyongyang to provide them with stable and convenient living conditions and giving education to the schoolchildren.
And he said that the important measure was an expression of the sincerity and devotion of the Party, which is faithful to its natural mission of serving the people and desirous of providing those in misfortune with more things than what they have lost, as well as an expression of its policy of giving precedence to the training of the younger generation above all state affairs and it had resulted in further deepening the ties of kinship between the Party and the people and consolidating the support and trust of the masses in the Party's policies.

"Nursing, edification and education of students and other children are the most important of all state affairs never to be abandoned even if the sky may fall in."
Such precious teachings of the respected General Secretary reflect his noble intention to firmly guarantee the rosy future of the infinitely prosperous country by training the rising generations into successors to the revolution and pillars with versatile knowledge, strong physical strength and noble moral traits under any conditions and circumstances.
There are many important and priority tasks for victoriously advancing the revolution and achieving the prosperity of the state, including building up the defence capability of the country and bolstering up the economy, science and technology. But there's nothing more important than bringing up the rising generations.
That's why when the respected General Secretary visited the April 25 Hostel in August, 2024 to learn about the preparations for education of pupils from the flood-hit areas, he said that he was proud that the Party Central Committee had made a prompt and correct decision to take measures for provisional education of children and pupils from the flood-hit areas and enforced it.
That day the respected General Secretary stressed again that the Party and the government should not neglect the education of the rising generation even for a moment, no matter how difficult it may be. And he continued that the Party would discuss the important issues arising in further consolidating the material and technical foundations of the educational field and putting the overall educational work on a new high and take strong measures to this end.
In the historic concluding speech on the fourth agenda item of the Enlarged Meeting of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea reviewing the year 2024, the respected General Secretary referred to the precedence, necessity and significance of development of education, noting that it is the first state affair that should be given priority and that demands tremendous effort at any time and at any stage and the most important sector that has to make steady progress.
Indeed, the proud reality of our country where everything is scarce and difficulties are evident, but children's cheerful laughter and songs of happiness are resounding louder clearly shows the greatness of the idea and leadership of the respected General Secretary who regards the issue of care, education and education of children and students as the first state affairs.

There is a saying that the future of the country can be predicted by their rising generation.
When the new generations who were brought up into steadfast revolutionary talents under the care of the great father become the main force of the revolution, and when the generations who have grown up keenly feeling the benevolence of the Party and the government at every moment of their growth support the country, our society will be more vibrant with a new life and the national power of the DPRK will be put on the highest level in line with the might of the most powerful country in the world.
The DPRK dynamically advancing by dint of love for the rising generations will always emerge victorious.
