An Unusual Residential Area

Thanks to the benevolent care of the great Workers' Party of Korea, socialist Korea continues to report miracles, changes and news admired and envied by the world day by day. Among them is a story about the birth of an unusual residential area for flood victims in Pyongyang, the capital of socialist Korea.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Nothing is more precious than the people, as they constitute the foundation of the country, and nothing is more sacred than their interests."

In general, a residential area is the one where dwelling houses are arranged in an intensive way as distinct from industrial area. The residential area is equipped with sanitary and cultural facilities, public service facilities, nurseries, kindergartens and schools for the care and education of children and educational and public health facilities such as hospitals and clinics for the promotion of people's health as well as dwelling houses.

However, the newly-emerged residential area in Pyongyang was not the area where the dwelling houses for the citizens of the capital city were arranged for long-term inhabitance, but was the April 25 Hostel and military parade training base set as temporary accommodation for flood-victims of North Phyongan Province, Jagang Province and Ryanggang Province, who came to Pyongyang according to the important measures of the Party and the state.

The April 25 Hostel and the military parade training base, which cannot be called a residential area, are associated with the warm care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the flood victims.

From the day when the flood suddenly hit North Phyongan Province, Jagang Province and Ryanggang Province of the DPRK in late July 2024, the respected General Secretary took urgent measures to rescue the isolated inhabitants in the flood-hit area, worrying about the people, and took every necessary measure to rescue all the flood victims came to the flood area in person.

Worrying about the flood victims and their temporary residential place, he visited the flood-hit area several times and consoled them sitting on a plain mat in their tent. Then he took special measures to make the children, students, aged people, sick people, disabled soldiers and mothers of small children in the flood-hit areas come to Pyongyang before new dwelling houses were built.

As a result, more than 13 000 people in the flood-hit area came to Pyongyang to live at the April 25 Hostel and military parade training base provided with all conditions.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw to it that all facilities and conditions such as residential buildings were provided at the April 25 Hostel and the military parade training base chosen as accommodation so as not to make the people feel any inconvenience. He personally visited the accommodation to welcome them to the capital city, Pyongyang as his blood relatives and even delivered a welcoming speech, which showed his fatherly love for them.

He also provided the children from flood-hit areas with gifts including new school uniforms not feeling satisfied with the care for them, organized interim mobile educational teams, watched a demonstration lesson and took meticulous care of them to be brought up well.

Thanks to the love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the children from flood-hit areas could learn to their heart's content in good educational conditions and environment without any interruption during their stay in Pyongyang, and the people from those areas could enjoy pleasant days without any inconvenience and worry, receiving various medical services and daily necessities from the mobile medical teams organized to provide the living conditions for the people from the flood-hit areas according to the state's special measures.

April 25 Hostel and military parade training base, where all kinds of welfare service facilities as well as schools and clinics were built, were a whole residential area where people spent their ordinary days more than a temporary lodging for the flood victims.

Home is a pronoun of love, affection and warmth. There will be no place so precious and affectionate as home full of the deepest love that can never be compared to any other places in the world.

That is why it has been said from olden times that "the greatest sorrow of all is homeless sorrow."

Without home, there would be no family, no joy, and one would lead a miserable life wandering like a bird without its nest.

The reality of our society completely different from that of capitalist society, which can never be found and mimicked in any other country, is dreamlike reality that is only possible in the bosom of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who takes care of the wounded children and looks after them.

The people from flood-hit areas will never forget the days of happiness and glory in the unusual residential area in the capital city, Pyongyang under the benevolent care of the great father. And they will pursue the avenue of return generation after generation bearing in mind the pride and honour of living in the embrace of great father while living in the houses newly built in the flood-hit area.

Indeed, the embrace of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is the cradle of the life of all the Korean people, and there are no other people in the world who are more blessed and happier than Korean people.
