Until now there have been many researches to treat burn wound for a long time, and many drugs are developed and widely used to treat burn wound but most of which are chemical agents such as antibiotic medicine and antiseptic, so they are not safe to use and have less durability.
There are few drugs which can be used for multiple purpose of treatment agreeable to its pathological process.
There are many kinds of protein, amino acid, vitamin, antioxidant,hormone, antibiotic, enzymes, in organic matter of Sulfur mud Guangliang gulf, which are considered to improve metabolism of organism and have function of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibiosis, proliferation and acceleration of epithelium.
Espectially sulfur ingredient in Sulfur mud Guangliang gulf takes part in synthesis of essential amino acid such as methionine, cystin, cysteine, glutation, promote resuscitation of neuron, skin and mucous membrane, making up epithelium.
It generate pentation acid which has very strong sterilizing power to inflammation effusion, thus helps to cure inflammation.
Frome October, Juche 104(2015) to April, Juche 105(2016) we effectively treated 43 cases of Ⅱ degree burn wound who visited the general surgical department of the Pyongyang municipal hospital No.1 by using Sulfur mud Guangliang gulf.
After sterilizing the wounded surface of burn wound, we mixed Sulfur mud Guangliang gulf with distilled water and plastered on the site with a thickness of 0.5 centimeters.
If a secretion comes from the wounded surface, we replaced mud daily.
After secretion is disappeared, we replaced the mud every 4~5 days.
The result showed that the period of building up epithelium was 10.9±0.5 days and total effective rate was 95.9%.
From the result we found out that Sulfur mud Guangliang gulf is very excellent natural therapeutic material to treat Ⅱ degree burn wound.
In future we will develop research to treat disease by using rich resource in our country such as mud further.
