Political And Ideological Consolidation is the First Strategic Task Of Army Building

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"The main aspect and primary strategic task in building up our armed forces are to strengthen them politically and ideologically."

In the important conclusion of the first agenda item of the enlarged meeting of the 11th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea held in December 2024, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed the need to thoroughly prepare the People's Army to be an ideologically and technically powerful army boundlessly faithful to the Party's leadership, and in particular, he stressed that the KPA should firmly hold fast to the politico-ideological consolidation as the first strategic task in army building, train all its service personnel into the revolutionary army which is winning victory by dint of ideology and strength and all the service personnel into the strongest one of mental strength and true patriotic soldier and conduct ideological work in an offensive way to imbue them with a transparent hostile consciousness, an absolutely invariable view on our main enemies and a strong will to fight a decisive battle.

The powerful political and ideological army is a group that is boundlessly loyal to the leader's idea and cause and is transparent in its revolutionary faith.

To build a revolutionary armed force into a powerful army of ideology and faith boundlessly loyal to the Party and the leader is an important matter in victoriously advancing the socialist cause.

The main thing in preparing our revolutionary army to carry out its honourable mission for the Party and the leader, the country and the people, and to be able to cope actively with any type of war and crisis is the political and ideological preparedness of the army and the ideological and spiritual preparedness of the soldier masses, the motive force of the armed forces.

Historical experiences show that if the working-class party fails to solve this problem correctly in the building of the revolutionary armed forces, it will have irreparable consequences for the accomplishment of the socialist cause.

What is the most important in the succession to the revolution, a new development period is to consolidate the single-hearted unity of the Party and the popular masses in every way and, at the same time, to more firmly prepare the People's Army, the pillar of the revolution and the pivot of the national defense capability, as the militant ranks boundlessly loyal to the Party.

The foundations of buildings should be laid once well, but the ideological foundations of the revolutionary army should be laid constantly. In other cases, the nature of the revolutionary army will be discolored and the tradition of victory will not be carried forward.

The historic cause of building a powerful political and ideological army, the source of the mightiness and invincibility of the revolutionary army, can be perfectly realized only under the guidance of an outstanding leader.

We should put the training of strong troops of ideology and faith on the highest priority, fight only with the revolutionary idea and will of the Party Central Committee, imbue them with the transparent class consciousness and indomitable fighting spirit and prepare them as ideological guards who do not know even an inch of deviation and a single contingency at the centre of the target set by the Party Central Committee.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is the peerless brilliant commander opening a new heyday in the history of building the Juche-oriented revolutionary army with his rare wisdom, outstanding commanding art, matchless courage and ardent trust and love.

He saw to it that the monolithic command system of the Party was established more thoroughly in the whole army, set it as the general goal of army building to model the whole army on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and as the main and strategic first task of army building to building a powerful political and ideological army and led the revolutionary armed forces to demonstrate their might as a powerful revolutionary army that has absolute loyalty and absolute obedience to the idea and leadership of the WPK.

The politico-ideological might of the KPA has been further strengthened under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who visited Mt. Paektu together with commanding officers of the KPA to make sure that the revolutionary spirit of the guerrillas, the tradition of the guerrillas, was steadily carried forward and gave priority to the ideological education of the soldiers on the way of field inspection of the units of the KPA.

It is the undying patriotic exploits performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the times and revolution, the country and the people that he has strengthened the politico-ideological might of the KPA remarkably and trained it into the elite revolutionary army of idea and faith capable of smashing any aggressive forces at a stroke.

The entire people are now convinced of the victorious advance of Korean-style socialism in the spirit of the KPA which is boundlessly faithful to its mission of defending the country and the people.

Korean-style socialism will be solid and our country will emerge as a socialist power envied by the world in the near future thanks to the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
