The President liberated the country by defeating the Japanese imperialist gangsters that had deprived of Korea and forced the Korean people to be colonial slaves. Instead of relieving the fatigue from the anti-Japanese armed struggle, the first work he did after the liberation was laying down the line for building a new country.
He really missed the homeland, the dear one he had never forgotten, braving the snowstorm of the anti-Japanese war. But he decided to make preparations of laying foundations for building a new country first.
With the firm faith that the Korean people should build a new country by their own efforts just as they carried out the anti-Japanese revolution on their own, and that all fields including national education and national culture, science and technology, to say nothing of building the party, state and army, should be built by their own efforts, he continued his thinking to lay a clear-cut line for building a new country.

In his speech, he stressed the need to continue to advance the Korean revolution on the basis of the successes achieved and build a prosperous and independent sovereign state by the efforts of the Korean people themselves.
Although he was returning home in victory, he set off for the dear country only after clearly indicating the road to bright future ahead of the liberated country.
After the return, he said: We have a lot of things to do before us; things are waiting for us as good as those in the past when we were fighting in the mountains; we should start building a new country from this moment. And he sent the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters to different parts of the country.
He sent the fighters to the dispatch site without giving even a rest to the fighters who had lived without having a rest while devoting their youth to the revolution, experiencing the worst hardships and adversity that human beings could undergo. But he had to build a new country, a new country where the people became masters, an independent and sovereign state, on this land as early as possible. Thus he had to send the fighters on the untrodden path of building a new country.
Thanks to his energetic leadership, the historic cause of building a party, state and army could be successfully accomplished in a short span of time.
The Korean people could, at last, dynamically advance along the road of genuine national independence and prosperity as masters of the revolution and construction, holding power in their hands.
The Korean people are now paying tribute to the President, recollecting with deep emotion the undying exploits he performed with the founding of the DPR Korea.
They also make resolutions to add glory to the socialist fatherland, the supreme patriotic legacy of the President under the sagacious leadership of the respected Comrade
