The Great Leadership of Training All the People to be Ardent Patriots Cherishing Kim Jong Il's Patriotism

Socialist Korea is now waging a vigorous struggle for building a powerful socialist country by giving full play to its patriotic enthusiasm in hearts of boosting the great fighting programme set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

For our people to achieve a decisive victory in the present struggle, we should learn from Kim Jong Il's patriotism, a patriotic idea consistent with ardent love for the country and the people and actively apply it to the practical struggle.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"All our officials, Party members and other working people should learn a positive lesson from the ennobling patriotism of General Kim Jong Il who devoted such tireless efforts to the country and people throughout his life, his heart burning with ardent love for them, and apply it in practice just as it is, without adding anything to it or taking anything from it."

The respected General Secretary, with ardent love for the country and people and a spirit of devoted service for them, fully embodied Kim Jong Il's patriotism at the noblest level, brought up all the people to be ardent patriots cherishing Kim Jong Il's patriotism.

First of all, he formulated the patriotic idea, will and exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il as Kim Jong Il's patriotism, thus providing valuable ideological and mental treasure for training all the people to be ardent patriots.

On July 26, Juche 101 (2012), the respected General Secretary published the immortal classic work "Let Us Step Up the Building of a Thriving Country by Applying Kim Jong Il's patriotism" amid the start of the grand struggle of the new century of Juche.

He published the work "The Sons and Daughters of Revolutionary Martyrs Should Become the Backbone of The Songun-Revolution and The Reliable Heirs of The Lineage of Mangyongdae, The Lineage of Paektu", the letter sent on October 12 Juche101(2012) on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School, the New Year's Address in Juche 102(2013) and the New Year's Address in Juche 103(2014).

In various works including these, he formulated Kim Jong Il's Patriotism as the driving force for the building of a thriving country, and clarified the vital guiding principle on hastening the building of a thriving country by applying Kim Jong Il's Patriotism.

First of all, the respected General Secretary formulated Kim Jong Il's patriotism in combination with the august name of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The respected General Secretary warmly said that the Chairman ardently loved the country and the people all his life and devoted his whole life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people, and in those days he smashed the imperialists' moves to isolate and stifle the socialist country, firmly defended the socialist country and led the building of a powerful socialist country in the van of the country, showing the noble example of patriotism in the course of laying an eternal foundation for building a prosperous country.

The respected General Secretary said that the patriotism he cherished and applied in his practical activities is the most ennobling patriotism which can be associated only with his august name, in the light of its essential content and great vitality.

Indeed, the patriotism of the great General was formulated as Kim Jong Il's patriotism, thus providing ideological and spiritual treasure for training all the people to be ardent patriots with the noble patriotism of Chairman Kim Jong Il who devoted his all to the country and the people all his life.

The respected General Secretary also comprehensively indicated the ideas on Kim Jong Il's patriotism.

The respected General Secretary gave a unique clarification on the essence of Kim Jong Il's Patriotism.

Kim Jong Il's Patriotism is the crystallization of socialist patriotism.

It is the most fervent and the warmest love for our socialist country and people and the most earnest and self-sacrificing devotion to the prosperity of the country and the well-being of the people.

It is genuine patriotism that holds dear every tree and every blade of grass of the country and devotes one's heart and soul to looking after them.

The respected General Secretary clarified the characteristics of Kim Jong Il's patriotism and the tasks and ways for applying it to practical activities.

Thanks to the energetic ideological and theoretical activities of the respected General Secretary, all the contents of Kim Jong Il's patriotism, a noble patriotic idea fundamentally distinct from the traditional general patriotism of Korea, were scientifically and comprehensively elucidated and provided ideological and spiritual treasures to train our people to be ardent patriots who cherish Kim Jong Il's patriotism and thoroughly apply it to practical activities.

What comes next in importance in his great leadership is that he brought up all the people as genuine patriots with ardent love for the country and the people with his noble practical example.

It is the noble intention of the respected General Secretary to dynamically advance the building of a powerful socialist country by bringing up all the people to be genuine patriots with ardent love for the country and the people through the fierce flames of Kim Jong Il's patriotism across the country.

The respected General Secretary implanted spark of patriotism in the hearts of our people with patriotic thought, inquiry, efforts and devotion.

The respected General Secretary always has the noble intention and will to devote his all to achieving the prosperity of the country and providing the people with a rich and happy life.

The respected General Secretary always thought about how to make our country that the great General safeguarded and glorified more prosperous and powerful and make our people who are the best in the world masters of a powerful country and let them lead a rich life and orientated all his activities towards its realization.

During the days of his field guidance, the respected General Secretary, no matter which factory or enterprise it was, led all the people to be ardent patriots who cherish Kim Jong Il's patriotism.

The respected General Secretary visited Mangyongdae Revolutionary School on March 2, Juche 106(2017) and planted the trees he had brought with him and on March 2, Juche 111(2022) he planted memorial trees with the participants in the Second Conference of Primary Party Secretaries of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The respected General Secretary personally took up the first spade of the memorial planting and planted two fir trees, yearning for the day when every single young tree would have grown to be a big tree supporting the prosperity of our socialist state.

In those days, our people saw the genuine model of patriotism in the noble personality of the respected General Secretary as a great man, and it became the precious spiritual source of patriotism.

The respected General Secretary also made the whole country burn with patriotic flames so as to train all the people to be genuine patriots with ardent love for the country and people.

The struggle to build a powerful socialist country by applying Kim Jong Il's patriotism is a gigantic patriotic work for the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people, and this work can be successfully carried out only when all the people cherish Kim Jong Il's patriotism and thoroughly apply it to practical activities.

While giving field guidance to the Central Tree Nursery in November Juche 103 (2014), the respected General Secretary said that there is no way to retreat in connection with the devastated forests of the country, and called upon the entire people to regard the forest restoration campaign as a war against the nature and wage this campaign through the general mobilization of the whole Party, army and people, just as the whole country turned out to rise from ashes during the postwar rehabilitation.

His saying of this day and the publication of the immortal classic work "Let The Entire Party, The Entire Army and All The People Conduct A Vigorous Forest Restoration Campaign to Build Green Forests in The Mountains of The Country" marked an occasion in the fierce flames of the forest restoration campaign.

Our people turned out as one in hearty response to the patriotic appeal of the respected General Secretary and dynamically launched the Movement for Winning the Title of Socialist Patriotic Forest.

In those days, many models of the era and patriots who devote themselves to carrying out the Party's ideology, burning their hearts with the patriotic idea of the respected General Secretary, were born, and many brilliant feats were made with patriotism, thus bringing about a proud reality, in which the whole country is full of patriots.

Indeed, thanks to the ardent love and devotion of the respected General Secretary for the country and people, the Korean people have grown to be genuine patriots cherishing Kim Jong Il's patriotism as well as ardent love for the country and people.

Still today, all the working people of socialist Korea are fulfilling their mission and duty in the general advance for implementing the decision of the Party Congress by giving full play to their patriotic enthusiasm in the present struggle for achieving the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, keeping in mind the patriotic devotion of the respected General Secretary.
