In the new century of Juche, having entered the historic turning point in the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche, our Party established the spirit of selfless, devoted efforts for the people as its revolutionary party trait and has defended the security and interests of the people despite the unprecedented trials and difficulties.
The crucial measures of love for the people taken by the DPRK under the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea are touching the hearts of the people and striking the world people with admiration.
A crucial measure of love.
All countries, parties or governments inevitably take crucial measures in their activities. However, those measures would not be termed in association with the word "love" as in our country.
At the turning point of history before the dawn of the new century of Juche, Chairman
He sent an autograph letter in which he expressed his tender care for the people as he dealt with such issues ranging from the organization of all events with a focus on prioritizing the interests and comfort of the people during the funeral events to the issue of giving top priority to their comfort and absolutely guaranteeing them. He made sure their interests and comfort were given top priority among all the other undertakings of the party during the period of condolences.
The crucial loving measures our Party had taken for the people in the grand march in the new century of Juche were a manifestation of the steadfast people-first principle of the WPK, which approaches closer to the people and firmly defends their destiny and cares for them despite worsening trials and ordeals.
In the wake of the flood damages in the Joyang Coal Mine Area and the Komdok Area in Juche 101(2012), in the Rason area in Juche 104(2015), in the northern part of North Hamgyong Province in Juche105(2016) and the damage caused by Hurricane 13 in Juche 108(2019), severe natural disasters hit our country several times in the past few years, seriously threatening the lives and security of our people. However, at each time, our Party took crucial measures for the people and firmly defended their life, security and happiness.
People still remember the flood damage in the northern part of North Hamgyong Province in Juche 105(2016).
At that time, having informed of the account of the damage, the respected General Secretary showed his concern for the large number of displaced people, and said we should build new houses for them before the coming winter. He said in sincerity that through a recovery campaign from the flood damage, we should show the world that it is the Party spirit of the WPK to make selfless, devoted efforts for the people.
It was the intention and determination of the respected General Secretary to spare the people in the afflicted areas from suffering from the harsh cold which would strike in no time even at the expense of millions of dollars and all the wealth of the country.
It was the time when the 200-day campaign was further being accelerated and the construction of Ryomyong Street had reached its final stage.
However, the respected General Secretary, put the lives and property of the people, their comfort and interests first, and took a crucial measure to direct the 200-day campaign towards recovering from the flood damage and to concentrate all the forces of the country including the Ryomyong Street construction force on the recovery.
The fact that the WPK chose the recovery front in the northern part of Korea as the direction of the main attack of the 200-day campaign clearly showed once again that there is no greater emergency than the people's suffering and no more important revolutionary undertaking than to remove the people from their misfortune. And the crucial measure taken on that day was recorded in the history as a great decision that can be taken only by the Workers' Party of Korea, the great mother party.
On this land with the great father as the leader, many more measures of love for the people are being taken.
At the enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee held in February, Juche 109(2020), a discussion was held on the issues related with more thoroughly taking and strictly enforcing the state-level ultra-high-level anti-epidemic measures to prevent the malicious virus epidemic spreading all over the world, and the meeting of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee in April stressed the need to continue to strictly step up the national measures for thoroughly preventing the incoming virus to cope with the trend of the ongoing spread of the world pandemic. The 14th enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Seventh WPK Central Committee summed up the six months' work of preventing the malicious epidemic and discussed the issue of strengthening the national contingency anti-epidemic work, and the subsequent enlarged emergency meeting of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee adopted a decision to switch from the National Contingency Quarantine System to the Super Contingency System.
In the history of the political parties around the world, the precedents of convening important party meetings several times a year for the sake of the people's lives and safety and taking crucial measures in succession can be found only with the Workers' Party of Korea, the mother party of the popular masses.
The respected General Secretary personally went out to the Taechong-ri area of Unpha County, North Hwanghae Province, where the flood struck, learned about the flood damage on the spot, and took measures so that the displaced people in the afflicted area were apportioned the reserve grain of the state chairman and his strategic reserve supplies were used for the recovery from the flood damage. He also took emergency measures for the departments of the central party committee and the family members of the headquarters to take a full responsibility of getting the people in the afflicted areas to settle down as early as possible and the county-level leading agencies of the afflicted areas carry out the undertaking of lodging the displaced people at the office buildings and public buildings of the County Party Committee and the County People's Committee and at other households, and putting them at rest and consoling them.
The Third Plenary Meeting of the 8th WPK Central Committee held in June, Juche 110(2021) brought up the matter of stabilizing and improving the people's life and bringing up children better as the most important work and adopted most crucial decisions for the people.
The respected General Secretary said that ensuring a stable life for the people and timely solving their difficulties are the principled activities of our Party and the State, and issued a special order, which bore his signature and carried his sincere heart that wishes to make even a little contribution to stabilizing our people's life.
These are not all.
The Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee held in December, Juche 110(2021) set it as the consistent policy of the Party and the State to provide school uniforms and school supplies to all the students in the country at the expense of the State, and set forth the task of supplying all the students with new types of quality uniforms and bags, and saw to it that the WPK Central Committee take a crucial step for their implementation.
As the future of a family depends on their children, so the future of a country depends entirely on how the rising generations are brought up.
As the Party and the State are taking crucial measures of love of providing all the students in the country with uniforms and school supplies out of paternal affection, our students will lead a merrier life and the future of our socialist fatherland will ever be brighter.
Even at this very moment, the WPK is engaged in a vigorous struggle to achieve quarantine security in order to fully prepare for the world health crisis, and is taking crucial measures of love for the people one after another while displaying its experienced and seasoned leadership ability in the socialist construction struggle for the well-being and happiness of the people.
Indeed, such are the crucial measures that can be taken only by the WPK, which exists for the people and whose mission and duty is to make selfless, devoted efforts for them.
The Korean people, who has the great father of the people as their leader, will always be proud of being the happiest people in the world in the future, too, as they had been in the past and are today.
