The WPK has built the powerful socialist castle that is independence in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defense on this land where century-old backwardness and poverty dominated, and has opened up the new era of building a thriving country, amid the vicious blockade of imperialists. This miracle originates from the harmonious whole, single-hearted unity of the Party and people.
As the motherly Party responsible for the destiny of people, the WPK has regarded it as a matter of greatest importance not to neglect even at a moment being totally in charge of political life and material and cultural standards of living and paying close attention to them, and has fully discharged its role and duty.
Our Party should be the motherly Party in charge of their destiny and lead them, which is the basic principle of the Party's activities that the WPK has creatively put forward.
The WPK has always set up the popular masses as the instructor, gone deep among the masses lending an ear towards their voice and has put forward the line and policy reflecting their demands and interests.
Also, it has implemented them thoroughly by giving full play to their creativity.

The amazing successes of 70-day and 200-day campaigns that got the world to see the might and the real potential of DPRK, the miraculous might of the KPA and people that was displayed in the campaigns to restore the disaster-stricken areas in North Hamgyong Province where people shouted "Long Live, WPK!" and in the construction of Ryomyong Street condensed with socialist civilization, and all victories which have set up the immortal milestone in the history of socialist power is no less than the might of single-hearted unity.
