The history of devotion of the peerlessly great man whose motto is believing in the people as in heaven is associated with the road of the forced march of on-the-spot guidance for the happiness and pleasure of the people.
General Kim Jong Il was on the road of field guidance for the people, visiting many factories, cooperative fields, stockbreeding stock farms, fish farms and commercial service bases across the country even in the last moments of his life.
The long journey of devotion for the people's rich and civilized life warmly shows the noble life of the benevolent father.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said;
"Until the final moments of his life, General Kim Jong Il did everything in his power for the improvement of the people's living standards."
General Kim Jong Il set out on the road of field guidance to the foodstuff factories in order to bring about a turn in solving the food problem of the people.
In January Juche 99(2010) General Kim Jong Il visited the Pyongyang Wheat Flour Processing Factory and the Ryongsong Foodstuff Factory and stressed the need to provide the citizens of the capital city with tasty and nutritious processed foodstuffs. And in August and December that year, he set a high goal of modernization at the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory and the Sonhung Foodstuff Factory and instructed that the quality of products should be steadily improved.
He visited the Changsong Foodstuff Factory, the Paekunsan General Foodstuff Factory, the Jangjasan General Foodstuff Factory, the Susongchon General Foodstuff Factory, Sariwon and Kanggye Basic Foodstuff Factory, etc. and led them to contribute to the improvement of the people's diet by normalizing production on a high standard and making more foodstuffs suited to the specific features of their localities.
He looked round the Pyongyang "August Grass" Processing Factory and the Stuffed wheat cake Workshop of the Kumsong Foodstuff Factory in September Juche 100(2011). He laughed with great joy because another social wealth was newly created for people.
His loving care for the improvement of the people's living standard was also expressed in cooperative fields, livestock farming bases and fruit farms.
General Kim Jong Il also visited Paekam County in the northern part of the country for the potato farming revolution after giving field guidance to the Migok Cooperative Farm in Sariwon City and the Sinam Cooperative Farm in Ryongchon County, where he encouraged the officials and farmers to make a great achievement in grain production under the banner of the seed revolution.
The Paeksan Pig Farm in Taehongdan County, the 927 Chicken Farm, the Tudan Duck Farm, the Taedonggang Pig Farm and other farm farms and poultry production bases are permeated with the leadership of the peerlessly great man who visited the farm in spite of bad weather to provide the people with more meat and eggs and illuminated the art of developing livestock farming.
The Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm, which he visited in 2010 and 2011, the Ryongjon Fruit Farm and other fruit production bases which he visited in autumn to feed the people all the year round, are crystal of General Kim Jong Il's tireless devotion and efforts.
Meanwhile, on the routines of his energetic field guidance, there are fishing bases and fish farms in different parts of the country.
Visiting the then Hungnam Taehung Fishery Complex on the shore of the cold wind, General Kim Jong Il said that it should spare no investment in improving the people's diet and solved on the spot the problems arising in the project for expanding capacity. In February, Juche 99(2010) he clarified the detailed ways for supplying fresh fish to the people while pushing ahead with large-scale fishing and small-scale fisheries at the Wonphyong Taehung Fishery Station in Kumya County.
Also the Ryongjong Fish Farm, Kujang Fish Farm and other fish farms were constructed in different parts of the country, thanks to the painstaking efforts made by General Kim Jong Il to provide the people with the best things.
He also led a struggle to improve the food culture and commercial service as required by the age.
Saying that the Okryu Restaurant, which has a long history of 50 years, should be well-known for cooking as well as for Pyongyang Cold Noodle, he personally suggested the construction of speciality restaurant and propose the site for it.
General Kim Jong Il, who energetically led the construction of modern public service centres, visited the Hyangmanru Restaurant, Pothongmun Street Meat Shop, Pothonggang Meat Shop, Pothonggang Department Store and the Kwangbok Supermarket, where he said that nothing is more honorable and worthwhile than serving the people. He showed deep loving care and trust to the officials and employees to fulfill their responsibility and duty as servants of the people.
General Kim Jong Il led Juche 100 (2011), the last year of his great revolutionary life, to the forced march for field guidance at a high speed with tears more than ever before. He made a forced march for field guidance with superhuman energy until the last moments of December, though he was very uncomfortable.
General Kim Jong Il mounted a train to give field guidance to South Hamgyong Province despite the prevalence of doctors and officials, saying that he should pay special attention to health until December 25 and that he could not leave the forced march for field guidance this time.
While giving field guidance to the work of the February 8 Vinalon Complex and other units, he praised the officials and workers concerned for their successes and had a photo session with them.
After giving field guidance to South Hamgyong Province, General Kim Jong Il visited the Hana Music Information Centre and the Kwangbok Area Office and kindly led its officials and employees to do more good things for the people in the future, too.
On the night of December 16 he ratified a report on the supply of fish to citizens of the capital city and sent it to the relevant department and left for field guidance again at that night.
General Kim Jong Il, he worked a miracle of the march to the people, devoting his heart to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.
General Kim Jong Il's on-the-spot guidance to the forced march on the eve of Mt. Paektu, who continued to the last moments of his life with his iron will and superhuman energies, burning his whole soul for the happiness of the people, will shine forever as the long journey of devotion to the people unprecedented in history.
