The Revolutionary Sprit of Paektu is the powerful weapon of Korean Revolution

Today, the Korean people are vigorously waging a gigantic struggle to steadily carry forward the revolutionary spirit of Paektu created in the pioneering period of the Korean revolution generation after generation and firmly carry forward the Korean-style socialist construction to a full-scale development.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Our army and people should always live and work in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu."

The revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu, is an offensive spirit of overcoming difficulties and hardships and the fighting spirit of rising up and fighting to the last. It reflects the ideological and spiritual traits of the revolutionaries and the mode of struggle that should be consistently maintained in the arduous course of the revolution.

The spirit is a powerful ideological and spiritual weapon that helps the revolutionaries develop their revolutionary faith and work miracles and win victories in the face of hardships and trials.

This is the iron truth proven by the practice of Korean revolution.

The revolutionary spirit of Paektu was created and displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who braved the bloody anti-Japanese struggle under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung. Thanks to the spirit, the Korean people could invariably advance along the road of Juche-oriented socialism without hesitation despite the trials and difficulties that others might have fallen a hundred times.

What was it in the hearts of Comrade Choe Hui Suk, who cried out that the victory of the revolution was visible after losing her eyes to the enemies, and Comrade Ma Tong Hui, who defended the headquarters with his tongue cut off, and other fighters.

It was none other than the revolutionary spirit that as long as they had the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, the day of liberation would surely come.

As they were fighters who cherished the revolutionary spirit of Paektu deep in their hearts, they were able to achieve the historic cause of national liberation by unyieldingly struggling against hardships and trials with the firm faith that they would surely win if they were led by the President even in the difficult conditions of fighting against the ferocious gangster-like Japanese imperialists.

The Korean people could win a great victory in the fierce Fatherland Liberation War and brought about Chollima upsurge on the ruins of war and work miracles and introduced innovations unprecedented in history under the uplifted banner of socialism despite the worldwide political upheavals and the imperialists' vicious sanctions and blockade moves. This is because they have displayed fully the revolutionary spirit of Paektu as a powerful ideological and spiritual weapon.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un once climbed Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of revolution, and said that the reason he climbed Mt. Paektu again that day was to gain a deeper understanding of how the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the fundamental source of the great mental strength of Kim Il Sung's nation and Kim Jong Il's Korea, was created and to imbue the whole country with it.

In early December Juche 108(2019), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a historic horseback march to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu to make the revolutionary spirit of Paektu more brisk across the country.

We sometimes have warm and sunny days on Mt. Paektu, but why does our respected Comrade Kim Jong Un often go up to Mt. Paektu on bad days and march in the cold snow?

It is because the task of arming all the people with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu is the vital matter that decides the future of the revolution and the faith of nation, as the violent oppression and arbitrariness stand as enormous obstacles on the way of independence and justice and the new generations who haven't faced any ordeals take their place on the stage of main force today.

Indeed, the revolutionary spirit of Paektu is the most precious treasure of our people and a powerful weapon of Korean revolution, which was created by President Kim Il Sung in the forest of Mt. Paektu during the grim anti-Japanese war and firmly succeeded and embodied by Chairman Kim Jong Il. And it is now held by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as his weapon of sure victory.

As long as we have the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the Korean people who regard the revolutionary spirit of Paektu as their lifeblood and surmount all the difficulties, the Juche cause of building a powerful socialist country will surely emerge victorious.
