First of all, it is the motive power which fully encourages the patriotism and revolutionary enthusiasm of the people in building a powerful socialist country.
This is a practical experience proved by the patriotic movements which the Korean people have waged dynamically under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea in the past.
Many patriotic movements have been recorded in the history of the DPRK to build a powerful socialist country.
They include the general ideological mobilization movement for building the new country, the emulation movement for increased production, the anti-illiteracy movement, the "patriotic rice" donation movement and the Kim Hoe Il movement, which developed soon after the liberation, and the movement for donating funds to the army, the plow woman movement and the movement for donating relief rice to the front which started in the period of the Fatherland Liberation War, in addition to the Chollima movement which worked a miracle of heroic Korea on the ruins of the postwar period. The flames of such mass movements and patriotic movements which flared up throughout the country became the dynamics to give full play to patriotism and the revolutionary enthusiasm of the Korean people.
Amid the flames of such patriotic movements, they grew up into pioneers and creators of the great history, in which they turned out to devote their all to the building of a new country and bravely defeated the enemies with an extraordinary determination to defend even an inch of the motherland at the cost of their blood, as well as turning out single-mindedly from the scratch in the postwar period and rushing toward in the spirit of Chollima to lay the solid foundations of the powerful socialist country.
In a word, all the Koreans grew up into be great creators and heroes amidst the flames of the patriotic movements.
A powerful socialist country is built by the people with ardent love for the socialist country.
It is because the people are the roots and foundation of the society.
There can be no society or state apart from the people.
The socialist patriotic movement trains all the members of society as genuine patriots with ardent love for the socialist country.
In the flames of the socialist patriotic movement, they grow into noble people who cherish loyalty to the leader as their own conscience and moral obligation, and into genuine patriots who have learned the truth that the prosperity of the country guarantees the happiness of themselves and their families.
In the course of the vigorous socialist patriotic movement, they deeply grasp the truth of life that the state affairs are precisely for themselves and that the patriotic conscience and dedication to them is a valuable wealth of life more precious than anything else.
And they are well aware that devotion to the country is the most valuable and noble life, and they cherish the patriotic feeling while looking back on their past life asking themselves what they devoted to the prosperity of the country and people.
In the course of the social patriotic movements, they become genuine patriots with ardent love for the country and people, and the more difficulties they have, the more ardently they think of the state's difficulties rather than theirs, and they are prepared to devote their all to overcoming them.
Next, the socialist patriotic movement is the dynamic power which vigorously accelerates the building of the powerful socialist country with the might of collectivism by strengthening unity and cooperation in all sectors and units.
The might of the socialist patriotic movement is the strength of the voluntary enthusiasm and creativity of the masses and the one of unity and cooperation.
Unity and cooperation are the way people exist.
Man, as a social being, has carved out his destiny by uniting and cooperating from the start.
The unity and cooperation among people will be strengthened as society develops.
The socialist patriotic movement is a collective movement.
In order to make the working masses participate in the cause of building a powerful socialist country as befitting masters, they should rely on the socialist method based on collectivism, not the capitalist method based on individualism.
Because the socialist patriotic movement is based on the collective outlook on life, it enables people to display boundless devotion and massive heroism for the development and prosperity of the collective.
Through the socialist patriotic movement, they establish a revolutionary climate in which they defend without fail the pledge they made to the country and the people in any adversity and carry out their tasks for the country, organizations and collective by their own efforts.
The socialist patriotic movement, which unifies the interests of individuals and the collective and embodies the relations of unity and cooperation on the highest level, is the fundamental source of mass heroism in building a powerful socialist country.
The socialist patriotic movement makes it possible to strengthen the unity and cooperation among people on all fronts of building a powerful socialist country and thus victoriously advance the building of a powerful socialist country by the might of collectivism.
Herein lies the great superiority and vitality of the socialist patriotic movement.
Under the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, a vigorous struggle is being waged to steadily create new standards and new records under the uplifted banner of self-reliance.
It is a proud reality of the DPRK that the noble and sound revolutionary traits such as overtaking, learning from each other, the movement to exchange experience, and the virtues and traits of helping and caring for each other are becoming a social trend.
In the flames of the patriotic movement of socialism with unity and cooperation as its lifeline, valuable successes and experience are further expanded to all fields and units and the spirit of fresh innovation, bold creation and steady advance is being enhanced, thereby bringing about a series of miraculous victories on all fronts of socialist construction.
The young people across the country volunteered to work in the difficult and arduous sectors of socialist construction in high spirits as they learned and followed the noble mental world of the youths of Chollima era who had rushed to the mountains, sea and undeveloped areas in response to the call of the WPK, and in the face of the sudden public health crisis the virtues, noble traits and the zeal for helping and supporting each other prevailed in the whole society. This is a living witness to the true features of Korean-style socialism with collectivism as its life and soul.
That's why the Enlarged Meeting of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee stressed the need to actively organize and properly lead the socialist patriotic movement and the revolutionary mass movement, the powerful driving force for the prosperity and development of the state.
The socialist patriotic movement and the revolutionary mass movement, is the powerful impetus to the building of a powerful socialist country, and herein lies a shortcut to hastening the bright future of the country.
