Day of the KPA Founding Spent with Service Personnel

February 8th when the Korean People's Army was born is the auspicicous day of the entire Korean people.

On this day, Koreans feel excited with the atmosphere of celebration, wishing the KPA, the defender of the country and people and the creator of happiness, the eternal strengthening and developing.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Our country and people always feel grateful to the army for its massive efforts, and they celebrate army founding day as a national holiday. This is because the People's Army has performed more remarkable exploits than others could manage, not only in defending our national sovereignty but also in building socialism and promoting the people's welfare."

The day comes round every year, but that of the year 2024 is warmly remembered by all the Koreans.

Because it was the day when the KPA proudly reviewed the development of its history and was given a precious guideline for its further development under the blessing of the great fatherly leader.

On February 8, 2024, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Ministry of Defence of the DPRK on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the KPA and stayed with the service personnel all day long, giving them boundless glory and happiness.

Inspecting the honor guards of the KPA marching in file and having photos taken with the generals of the KPA that would be recorded in the history of army building forever, he made a significant speech in honor of the KPA service personnel.

In his speech, he showed his respect to the course of the heroic development of the KPA that thoroughly defended the well-being and interests of the country and people and the idea and cause of the WPK and led the great change to the wealth and military strength of a nation, faithfully shouldering the sacred mission granted by the times and history for 76 years since its birth, and extended his warm congratulation to all the service personnel of the KPA on behalf of the Central Committee of the WPK and the government of the DPRK and all the people across the country.

Stressing that the KPA's history of struggle carved on the wall of hisoty the truth that the state and people advancing with the army in the vanguard of the revolution could achieve the constant and vigorous progress and prosperity, no matter what challenges and crisises were, he highly praised the revolutionary armed forces for their great merits to firmly defend the sacred territories of the country and the honor of the people with the firm revolutionary faith, convincing patriotic spirit, peerless heroism and stamina and devoted service.

The KPA officers and men were deeply impressed with the speech of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who devoted his all to leading the KPA to be faithful to its mission and duty as the army of the people, and yet valued its merits for the well-being and prosperty of the country and people and spoke highly of them.

In particular, when he called on them to make energetic efforts for the eternal prosperity of the country and the well-being of the people as one with the conviction in and optimism about new victory, they faithfully resolved to live up to the great trust of the fatherly leader.

In addition, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un attended the party to celebrate the birthday of the KPA and spent his valuable time with them.

The service personnel actually sensed the great feelings and faith between the brilliant commander and his men, looking up to the respected General Secretary who proposed a toast to the vigorous development and immortal feats of the heroic KPA with the destiny and future of the people on its shoulders.

Those, including the commanding officers of the Ministry of Defence and other commanders of combined units who were honored to be with the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un again, were fervently determined to carry out the intention of the Party central committee correctly and unconditionally and fulfil the important mission and duty of the KPA honorably, bearing in mind the trust and privilege given by him.

Indeed, it was a significant and honorable day full of their thanks to the great fatherly leader who gave top priority to the service personnel of the KPA with the great love and trust and put the glory and honor of the KPA to the highest level.

Like this, thanks to his benevolent love and endless trust, the KPA grows up to be the comradely unit sharing the will and affection with the respected General Secretary and the vanguard detachment to carry out the leader's order and instruction without condition.
