Those new and neat trolley buses, which grow in number as the days go by, touch the hearts of our people with the love of the respected Comrade

One late night in early February, four years ago, a trolley bus with the respected General Secretary on was running along the streets of Pyongyang city with its headlights on.
At the moment when the whole city people were fast asleep, our respected General Secretary was riding on this trolley bus, which would later be used by the citizens, giving a guidance to its trial operation.
The very trolley bus on trial operation that day was a new type of trolley bus, which he examined a few days ago during his field guidance to the Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory.
However, he had spared his busy time again on a late night to try having a ride on this trolley bus, saying that he would rest assured only after having self-tried riding on this bus to be used by the people lest there should be anything amiss about it.
Saying that one couldn't tell the level of performance of this trolley bus simply judging from its looks, he urged the accompanying officials to have a close look to find any shortcomings by putting themselves in the people's place.
Truly from the standpoint of the people and sharing their sentiments, he observed everything in detail about the new type of trolley bus.
Lest the people may be uncomfortable in the slightest, he sat an official by his side to estimate the width of a chair. He was also concerned with the rails of the bus window, and he even went so far as to find out the size of the LCD TV screen installed inside the bus so that everything in it can serve for the people's comfort.
He said that, having tried a ride on the trolley bus, it was convenient and reliable, the shock-observer was good, there was no vibration nor noise, the speed was good, and he spoke highly of the technical condition of the trolley bus.
He said that he felt relieved, proud of and great about the trolley bus as it made him feel like he was sitting in his own home, since it was manufactured by our working-class people. He said he was most pleased and satisfied whenever he sees our products made by dint of self-reliance.
That day he took the manager of the Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory to his front seat and learned everything about the performance of the new-type trolley bus.
The officials were deeply moved to look up to him as he was expressing his satisfaction with the explanation given by the manager about the features of the new-type trolley bus.
In fact, the new-type trolley bus was manufactured under the meticulous guidance and warm loving care of the respected General Secretary.
He not only indicated the concrete orientation and ways for renovating the Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory on several occasions but also solved all the problems regarding the renovation project.
When the factory was newly renovated, he visited the spot and looked around it for a long time and clearly indicated the road ahead to be taken by the factory.
On the day of his field guidance, he expressed his appreciation for the patriotic spirit of the people, who strictly adhere to the work time fixed by the state, valuing even a single second and a single minute on the road, and he took particular care to provide them with a still better trolley bus.
Having dropped in at the designing room of the factory, he moved the mouse cursor to learn about the design creation, and having visited a workshop, he paid deep attention to the details of the trolley bus manufacturing process.
One time he admonished them to make colours better to the liking of the people, and at another time, he stressed the need to make every fitting as convenient as possible for use by the people so that the trolley bus, a means of public transport, befits the face of the capital city of Pyongyang. He even personally chose the microphone position of the driver's seat for better service and enhanced kindness on the part of the driver.
He stressed that manufacturing more, better and more convenient trolley buses at the factory for use by the citizens of the capital was an undertaking carried out to improve the appearance of the capital city and provide them with civilized living condition and, at the same time, a very important undertaking for defending the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea, whose mission is to serve the people, and for preserving the nature of Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses.
He had put so much effort into providing our people with a better trolley bus, however, he was not satisfied with that, since he came out very late at night to have a trial ride on this new-type trolley bus.

As I always say, we should not confine ourselves to creating new things, but continue to develop them by refining them technically and perfecting their production processes further.
I'll send you the technical data needed so that you can further improve the technical features of the trolley bus and mass-produce it, and thus put the operation of passenger transport in the capital city on a normal basis.
The passenger service sector in the capital city should always regard the demand of the people and their evaluation as absolute standards and satisfy them with all consistency, and strive to ensure the comfort of passengers, especially in the cold winter, with the revolutionary viewpoint on the masses and the spirit of devoted service to them.
Our General Secretary was not satisfied with simply having provided our people with the new-type trolley bus since he was putting in a painstaking effort by having a ride on the bus himself despite the coldness of the late night. Indeed, he was very much alike President
His painstaking efforts were being imprinted on the streets of the capital city late at night in February as he was working his heart and soul to provide the people with more convenient and civilized passenger transport with better and more trolley buses.
When the night was filled with the smooth sound of the trolley bus and the people were fast asleep in their homes which shed no light, he was still making a devoted effort for the people even at this very late night.
Devotion to the people is the noble trait of the respected General Secretary.
Whenever he sees and deals with anything, he always regards the interests of the people as an absolute standard and makes every effort for the people's civilized and happy life. The production of the new-type trolley bus and its trial operation were a testimony to that.
