The respected Comrade
"There have been no benevolent leaders in the world other than the great comrades
Children took a special place among all the countrymen so much loved and cared for by the great leader Comrade
Nobody can be matched with the great leader who devoted himself to the happiness of young students and children all his life, calling them the king of the country and regarding care-free upbringing of them as the most important part of the Party and state affairs.
Saying that our revolution should always focus on the happiness of new generation, the great leader loved them more than anybody and did all he could do for them.
Everybody knows that he made it a rule to welcome in the New Year with children, but few people know the new-year celebration took place in Okryu restaurant one year.
Just before 1961, the first year of the first 7-year plan, he was thinking hard about where to hold the new-year celebration, which he had traditionally enjoyed with children.
It was because the Taedongmum Cinema which had always been the venue of the celebration was not big enough for the increasing number of celebrants.
In the consultative meeting over this matter, he recommended Okryu restaurant as an option, which, of course, made all around him taken aback, for it was just before its opening ceremony and had been designated for the state banquet. So one official gave him his frank opinion that it seemed unreasonable.
Then the great leader said that they should have right viewpoint of and attitude to young children, that the state banquet could be held somewhere else, but children should be provided with a place where they could enjoy themselves fully, dancing and singing.
As a matter of course, Okryu restaurant was chosen as the venue of new-year celebration for Juche 50 (1961).
Unfathomable was the love of the great leader, who wanted the children, the king of the country, to enjoy themselves in a bigger and better place for the new-year celebrations.
For example, when the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium came to a completion of its construction in early 1970s, he said that when all the seats of honour were moved to one corner, children could have more room for their celebration and more spectators could enjoy their performance.
It was the teaching which can only be expected of the fatherly leader, indeed.
His viewpoint of value was that no matter how wonderful and significant something might be, it is of its real value only when it can be of great service to the people and children. This viewpoint of value of his led to the building of the Pyongyang Students and Children's palace on an excellent location in hard times of conducting economic construction and military buildup simultaneously, where children can sing aloud.
As mentioned, the great leader held children dear all his life and devoted himself to them, endowed with the love for the children.
Indeed, no children in the world are happier than the children in our country where they can give a full display to their talents, under the blessing of the country.
The great leaders' view of new generation finds its expression in the leadership of the respected Comrade
The examples of his lofty view of children are the palaces for children that have been built wonderfully befitting the new century, such as Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace, Songdowon International Children's Camp, Kyongsang Kindergarten, Okryu Children's Hospital, Pyongyang Children's Department Store, and so on.
With the lofty view of children of the matchless great men, the children, the king of the country, are ensured their bright future in our country.
