There is something that Korean people cherish deep in their hearts as days go by.
It is a feeling of gratitude towards the servicemen of the Korean People's Army who always share their fate with people at any time when they are happy or difficult, adding strength and encouragement and making them happy.
It is said that there is no endless affection in the world, but the feeling of the KPA kept in their mind has outlived time to be handed down for generations.
The word army becomes a pronoun of trust, expectation and will that makes their hearts leap with joy when they only say it and makes them feel reliable when they repeat it.
What is the reason?
It is because the KPA servicemen are the defenders who keep awake all night at the trench in snow and rain to protect the safety of people and turn out in the struggle to defeat the enemy when a period of harsh trial comes to the country.
It is also because they have an intense experience in their hearts that the KPA is the creator of happiness that work miracles and perform feats in socialist construction sites, open fields and rehabilitating sites of damaged districts.
Such an army is the strongest and the best in the world.
Maybe it was during the days of coronavirus in 2022 that people's calling for the army was so ardent and earnest.
As soon as hearing that the medics of the Korean People's Army arrived at the pharmacies in the capital city by the special order of the Party Central Committee, the citizens felt stir in their hearts.
Their eyes were filled with tears, seeing them arrive at a breath, true to the noble intention of the respected General Secretary.
The medics of the KPA who came with the warm love of the respected fatherly leader did not merely wait for their patients to come to the pharmacy.
With a bag of medicines on the shoulder, they embarked upon mobile medical services for the people in villages far away from the pharmacy, as well as visiting war veterans, disabled soldiers and critical cases.
There were heard countless stories that moved people everywhere they treated patients on the verge of death.
When a critical case was needed for blood transfusion, the medics of the KPA tucked up their sleeves without hesitation.
Words could not express how people felt to see the self-sacrificing acts of the KPA medics who dedicated their bones and flesh to saving lots of comrades-in-arms and people from danger in the war, not by books or films but actually before their eyes.
Regarding it as the KPA mission to defend the people who, unawares to themselves, set it in their instinct to call the army first for help when they were put into critical or difficult situation and their belief that there was nothing the KPA couldn't do in the world, the medics accepted a pregnant woman nearing her time who said that she came first to them, lack of any definite plan, and helped her give an easy birth to a boy.
So when they were asked who stood in the forefront at the cost of their life for the safety of people and who lived the busiest life during the days of coronavirus which could be called a great turmoil since the founding of the country, people said as one.
They were the KPA servicemen dispatched by the respected Comrade
A soldier, who forgot his meal and kindly informed many visitors of therapies and worked without a break supplying medicines to patients, never letting people know his own illness, did not touch even a tablet at the moment of his fall.
"These medicines were sent to our people by the respected Supreme Commander.
I have the only duty to ensure that these medicines should reach the people more accurately and faster."
This is the true image of the KPA kept in the hearts of the people.
Carved on the cap-badge of the KPA soldiers' cap are the ears of rice wrapping the red star.
This was decided personally by President
He said that ears of rice should be carved around the cap-badge of the KPA, not laurels like in other countries.
It implied that the KPA should become a genuine army for people.
The KPA, keeping the sacred word "people" in mind, they love the people with such a warm heart and ardent sincerity.
For KPA soldiers, people are none other than their parents and brothers and their laughter is the highest commendation for their efforts.
The KPA has always become the army giving benefits to people and their brothers and sisters, sons and daughters as it took the lead in supporting the noble intention of the respected General Secretary who regarded the people's pain as his own and called the KPA for the work to bring a new legend of love for people into full bloom.
The army truly respected and loved by the people, and herein lie the secret of being the strongest army in the world and the source of its mightiness.
That is why the Korean people sincerely love and respect the KPA that firmly defends the dignity and destiny of the people with its invincible arms, struggle for people with ardent love and devotion, create their happiness and lead the times properly.
