One day, there was a conference at the Kumsusan Assembly Hall for the further improvement of the people's standard of living under the guidance of the fatherly leader. In the conference,while conducting the discussion about problems related with the people's life, the great leader suggested a questionwhether the egg price could be lowered than the present price.
Thereupon, the officials,who were concerned with it, said frankly that it was difficult to lower the price in consideration of the cost of egg production.
The great leader,who had known the cost of egg production, asked the officials once again if they could be loweredonce again.
But the officials could not answer willingly.It was because many poultry farms conducive to the betterment of the people's dietary life were built all over the country under the wise leadership of the fatherly leader, and the egg price was revised several times to be lowered with the increase of the egg production day by day.
Thus, the officials were proud about the fact that the egg price had fallen considerably in comparison with what it used to be.
Reading their minds, the great leader looked around the officials and said ardently he knew well about their fretful reasons, they seem to consider about the cost of production, price and the balance between them and say they could not lower the price, of course, it's important but we should put the people before anything else in all things whether it's a big or small thing and the reason why we were carrying on a revolution was all for the people.
At that very instant, the officials were moved to tears with a catch in their throats because of the benevolent affection of our leader who treasured and took loving care of the people most.
In fact, the people were not thinking of the egg price deeply while they were supplied in shops. It was because the price was cheap and they think it common.
However, the fatherly leader, who valued and loved our people most, always paid close attention to the egg price in order to feed our people even more eggs.
Looking round the officials, the great leader said that the people's life should be a criterion, a measure and the aim of all our works.
In this way, some measures were taken in the conference to set the price of eggs even more cheaply so that even workers, farmers and office workers could purchase as many eggs as they wished with their income.
Later, the officials managed to find a reserve to set the egg price cheaper, true to the lofty will of the fatherly leader.
When he received a report on it from an official, the great leader was very satisfied and said with a bright smile on his face that our people could eat a lot of eggs and how good it was.
A lump was in histhroat,looking up to the fatherly leader who was so satisfied with the fact that another problem for our people's diet had been solved. Then he recalled once again what the great general had said on a tour of field guidance.
It was a scorching day in summer Juche 49(1960).
The fatherly leader came back home very late that day and his voice was very hoarse.It was because he gave precious instructions to officials ranging from design to method and construction works, walking within the construction site all day long and conducted a conference on the spot to finish the project as soon as possible.
The great leader said that he had a sore throat,feelingoppressive so he wished he had a cool drink of an egg.Unfortunately, there was no egg in the fatherly leader's house.What a pity!The officer wandered from place to place to get the eggbut there was nowhere.
He shed tears and felt sorry for the fact that people would never dream of it.
Eventually, the fatherly leader didn't eat the egg and got down to his work again.
The official was deeply moved recalling the great general's instructions conveying the noble love of the fatherly leader for the people.
There are many countries and leaders around the world but such a peerless great man and benevolent father of the people as our leader who put great efforts to feed the people with more meat and eggs has been found nowhere.
Indeed, the great leader was the genuine leader of our people with noble virtues loving the people boundlessly.
