The lifelong desire of President Kim Il Sung

Desire means the mind that desperately wants something.

All the people have desire and when it comes true whether it's small or big they are filled in absolute happiness and delight.

Then, what was the lifelong desire of President Kim Il Sung, the great man of the century and the father of the Koreans.

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is the preeminent revolutionary leader in history, as well as the benevolent father of our people."

Many politicians recorded in history are famous for administering the affairs of the state but such a politician as President Kim Il Sung cannot be found who applied the politics for people and accomplish immortal feats that will go down forever in the history.

The desire of Korean people that had been kept in their hearts for thousands of years were simple. It was to build a small cottage in a sunny place and live with parents harmoniously farming on their own land.

Then since when did their wish come true, the wish that Korean people that had been kept in their hearts as just a dream, the wish that faded into darkness under the Japanese imperialist colonial rule.

On the 15th of April, Juche 1(1912), President Kim Il Sung was born in the thatched house of beautiful Mangyong Hill where the River Taedong leisurely skirts, rose as the Sun of Korean and mankind. His birth was historic event in which people met their genuine leader who defends the destiny and future of the people and bring their wishes into reality.

As he was an outstanding great man who shouldered the destiny of the people, he always kept people in his heart above everything from his childhood.

When he was young, he ever climbed up to ash tree and pine tree to catch rainbow at Mangyong Hill, he desired people-oriented society as beautiful as rainbow in which people work in harmony and live joyfully.

When he was a teenager, walking the 250-mile journey for learning alone, he always kept people in him and while he was walking the 250-mile journey for national liberation and crossing the Amnok River, he made up his mind to liberate the country at any cost and build a prosperous country so that people could live happily and have nothing to envy in the world and to be faithful to people.

As he kept noble will in his heart, the President never forgot suffering people through an arduous anti-Japanese armed struggle and established the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on this land regained at the cost of the blood.

Keeping the desires of people as his lifelong desire, the President realized a century-old desire of the Korean people for farming on their own land and made selfless efforts for the happiness of people saying it was his wish that people eat rice with meat soup wearing silk clothes and live in a tile-roofed house.

The President made his way through fields in rainy days and gave on the spot guidance to factories in snowy days.

Thanks to his fatherly affection, people's happiness are brought in full bloom so that people have nothing to envy but President Kim Il Sung's wish for the happiness of the people was endless.

On his birthday, the 15th of April, 1992, the President said that for the revolutionaries it would be the most noble obligation and duty to serve people and it is the greatest honor to devote oneself to people and he wished that he would devote his all to people to live up to their love and trust.

Devote to people to live up to their love and trust.

This was President Kim Il Sung's lifelong desire.

Indeed, the life of the President was the greatest life of devotion for people who sacrificed his all ardently and passionately.
