The regional development policy of the Workers' Party of Korea

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Apart from modernizing local-industry factories, improving the appearance of rural villages and renovating schools and hospitals, the major policies put forward by the Party, such as those of housing construction, landscaping and the conservation of mountains and rivers, consist of tasks of the three revolutions which must be performed with regions such as the city and county as the unit. Their success can only be guaranteed when the principle of conducting the technological and cultural revolutions simultaneously while giving precedence to the ideological revolution is adhered to without any deviation."

Today, in DPR Korea, an enormous revolution is being carried out to realize centuries-old desire of people.

In the 10th session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly which was held on the 15th of January 2024, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un set forth the gigantic regional development project "regional development 20×10 policy", the essence of which is to build regional industry factories in 20 counties every year. The whole project is directly supervised and led by the party and if it works as it was intended, they are going to develop every single person's basic material and cultural living standard into higher standard within a decade.

On the 31st of August 2024, he summoned a regional development meeting which was a part of the preparation work for the stipulation of a new mammoth measure to accelerate the drastic and comprehensive development of the regional development. In that meeting, he instructed that the party's regional development policy should not be limited to building light industry factories but should also cover the integrated one that includes health, science and education and that only then can they genuinely contribute to the improvement of material and cultural life enhancement of local people as well as drastically improve the efficiency of regional development. He continued that together with the acceleration of the construction of regional industry factories that are being built, they should build healthcare facilities, sci-tech dissemination centers and grain processing facilities as additional projects.

In the historic speech given on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of founding the DPR Korea on the 9th of September 2024, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said again that they are going to build the sci-tech dissemination bases into comprehensive bases for cultural life. He continued that they should build bases in cities and counties that not only are equipped with modern IT means for sch-tech learning but also serve multifunctional and complex cultural purposes, so that local residents can see films or play sports and amusement games there; and commercial outlets and various other welfare facilities with satisfactory hygienic environment and conditions are also to be furnished in them.

Supported by the cherished desire of the Workers' Party of Korea, now the regional industry construction sites are being spruced up day by day encouraging the faith of victory for the people of the country.

The regional development policy of the great Workers' Party of Korea is indeed the most correct milestone for the development of the people's welfare and the overall prosperity of the DPR Korea.

The Korean people have correct understanding of how enormous and challenging those tasks are, but have the firm faith that those dreams will come true in their real life.

They have deep understanding of the victorious leadership of the great Worker's Party of Korea which it achieves everything once it determines to do, even though the tasks seem very difficult and impossible, through the days and months of the past decade when they have achieved the unprecedented demanding tasks. They experienced that truth once again by watching those miraculous entities of 2023, the year of which the DPR Korea brought about spectacular events that were unprecedented in the history of the republic.

In the policy speech delivered by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the 10th session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly, he set forth the grand plan of further improving the basic material and cultural living standard of all the cities and counties of the country.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that there may be differences in geographical environments, resources, economic potential and living environment, but there should be no disparity in the living standard within the territory of the republic. He said that this is the invariable principle of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government.

This is valuable teaching imbued with the most ardent love and devotional service for the people and the eruption of genuine sentiment of a benevolent father who embodies the true nature of mother—Workers' Party of Korea. It is also the saying that pictured the profile of comprehensive development of socialism.

It is indeed the long-cherished desire and grand ideal of the Workers' Party of Korea which aims to climb the peak of happiness and civilization embracing all the people of the country and regions. It is also the strongest and unchangeable faith and desire to realize them into a glorious reality.

Korean people know well the way to happiness.

It is the implementation of decisions of the Workers' Party of Korea which are the correct design, route and the milestone of victory to ensure the happiness and laughter of children without any delay and conciliation.

On the road of the DPR Korea, which is supported by the might of loyalty and patriotism, the advent of bright future lays ahead.
