The Koryo Paediatrics Department Pyongyang Medical College,
The great leader Comrade
"Stature-increasing exercise should be encouraged particularly in primary and senior middle schools, so that every pupil and student takes a lot of exercise to improve his stature from childhood onwards."
Spirulina is one of the initial living things on the earth and one of the health foods humans have long had. It is exceptionally rich in protein that amounts to 60-70 percent and contains all of the eight essential amino acids.
As an alkaline food, spirulina is an abundant source of properly-balanced protein, amino acid, activated fluorescent and trace elements like iron, zinc, calcium, iodine and selenium in the kind of complex compounds accumulated in the process of growth, so it helps balance nutrition to ensure healthy growth of children.
When it comes to the composition of nutrients, spirulina is somewhat a complete complex nutritious mass, more than a source of single or mixed nutrients like an ordinary food. And the composition almost complies with that of nutrients directly necessary for humans.
Malnutrition disturbs all the metabolic activities related to bones, hormone, and digestion – essential to osteogenesis, causes central dysfunction, and deters growth in stature.
Cutting therapy is one of the biological stimulating therapy, Koryo medical therapeutic method that regulates Ki(vital energy) and blood of human body and balances both of Um and Yang.
We measured the amount of height growth of children at age 10-13 by combining three methods: the use of spirulina that is mainly aimed at balanced intake of nutrients, cutting therapy, exercise of increasing the stature by promoting rational augmentation of spine and muscles.
We enlisted 40 girls, 10-13 years old, from a school who can share the same accommodation for a period. And then we formed two groups, each consisting of 20, for comparison in research. The girls in the research group were to have 9g of spirulina pill three times a day. On the first day of research, they received cutting therapy, and took a height-promoting exercise before bedtime. Such a routine was repeated for three months before comparing and examining the resulting data.
As a result, the girls of the research group showed a significant increase in height growth, with their general health improved, compared to those in the other compared group.
We will further deepen the research to go on with the work to establish a rational method to help children increase their height.
