In order to create a social atmosphere for sports and further emphasize the importance of making sports mass-based and part of everyday life, he saw to it that the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea adopted the decision "On Establishing the National Sports Guidance Committee" on the significant day celebrating the 43rd anniversary when the President made the historic speech on developing sports into an all-people movement.
The respected General Secretary visited Rungna People's Sports Park, May Day Stadium, the sports village on Chongchun Street, the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium, the Pyongyang Sports Goods Factory and other sports facilities which were either newly built or renovated in a modern style.
During the process, he confirmed his great ambition to raise more fiercely the flames of sports across the country and thus arouse the people's boundless enthusiasm.
What a touching story it is that the respected General Secretary spent precious time watching the sports games in the public health sector, the finals in the mass sports field of the national inter-provincial competition and other amateur games, though he was very busy leading the revolution and construction.
