The people still remember, with deep emotion, the days of May last year when the virus struck our country.
When nobody knew what to do about this terrible disaster strike of the malignant virus, he convened the 8th meeting of the 8th Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), and set forth timely and detailed anti-epidemic guidelines to turn the national anti-epidemic system into the highest anti-epidemic emergency system and push forward in parallel the measures for enforcing lockdowns and the fight to stamp out the virus to stabilize and manage the spread of the virus and quickly heal the infected people and thus eliminate the source of the virus in the shortest period.

In May Juche111(2022), the respected General Secretary visited the pharmacies in Pyongyang to personally inspect the real situations of medicines supply as soon as he finished the meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK.
At that time, the pharmacies were very dangerous as they were hotspots visited by many people for the treatment of the malignant virus, and the sales staffs were still in their recovering stage.
But he went into the pharmacy without hesitation to learn in detail about the operation of the pharmacy and gave precious instructions on the supply and sale of medicines.

On September 20, Juche106(2017), hearing the answer of a senior official that the trees had an average of 200 apples and maximum of 300 apples when he visited Kwail County, the General Secretary was so satisfied with the great apple harvest.
When he had a broad smile on his face, saying that all his weariness seemed fade away as he thought that how pleased our people would feel when they heard the news of fruit harvest in Kwail County, the senior officials of the county were moved to tears.
