Comrade Kim Jong Suk, the anti-Japanese war heroine is the great model of the true revolutionaries who devoted her whole life to the work to hold President
President
"Comrade Kim Jong Suk was very faithful to me."
During the period of anti-Japanese armed struggle, Comrade Kim Jong Suk, possessed of the firm spirit of defending the leader with lives and guarded him politico-ideologically with her life and even after the liberation of Korea, she always cherished her noble mission before motherland and revolution and sacrificed herself for the sake of the welfare and health of the President.
The special train used by the President while his on-the-spot guidance was marked with the noble sincerity of Comrade Kim Jong Suk who dedicated herself to the welfare and good health of the President.
It was mid-August Juche 36(1947) when Korean railway working class and technicians brainstormed to make a new special train for the President to take on his field guidance to local areas.
When she was reported from the officials in charge of manufacturing the train, Comrade Kim Jong Suk said that the workers and technicians concerned would have taken much trouble. Next day she came out to the site where the train was.
Comrade Kim Jong Suk got on the train and looked around bedroom, office room and study in turn to watch even a small piece of equipment and the furniture in detail. She told them that the railway carriages were made and furnished well.
Comrade Kim Jong Suk was satisfied with the train during her visit. When she was about to get out of the carriage, however, Comrade Kim Jong Suk somehow went back into the office room to sit at the desk and open a book on it.
Then she looked at the book and the lamp by turns and guessed the state of illumination by her eyes.
Officials were worried about if something was wrong with the lighting device and looked at her face.
However, Comrade Kim Jong Suk was lost in thought and said nothing.
Next day, Comrade Kim Jong Suk carried a bundle with her and visited the train again.
When the officials made bow to her politely, Comrade Kim Jong Suk said that she came there once again to see the train made by Korean working class.
Comrade Kim Jong Suk got on the train and unwrapped the bundle to take a table lamp and peach-coloured lamp shade out of it. She said that the day before she had felt it would have been better if there had been a table lamp. Then she said that, if there were only a lamp on the ceiling, the President would feel inconvenience when he read a book or write something, therefore, she brought that table lamp.
It was not until then that the officials understood why she came back to the train again, and they were moved.
They were filled with remorse that no matter what illuminator they might install, they failed to consider it in relation with the health of the President.
Comrade Kim Jong Suk said that such a peach-coloured lamp shade would make the light bright and sober to relieve fatigue remarkably, and she looked at the officials and asked them to put the table lamp on the desk and change the lamp shade.
When they turned on the lamp and the lamp shade was changed into the brighter one, the interior of the carriage looked not only bright but also gentle so that it was more preferable to read a book.
Comrade Kim Jong Suk dropped in the study built in the train and rearranged the books so that it would be easy for the President to find out any kind of data.
Books in the bookcase looked good in their appearance but not in the classification of their contents.
Comrade Kim Jong Suk opened the bookcase, took some books out of the bookshelves one by one, and scanned them. Then she said that if the books of different fields were mixed together, it would be difficult to find out the right one. Immediately she personally began to rearrange them according to their sections and contents.
The officials felt guilty and suggested that they rearrange, but Comrade Kim Jong Suk took the occasion and continued working.
Books in the study were rearranged in good order according to their contents in a while.
Comrade Kim Jong Suk said to the officials that whatever they might do, they should pay attention to the good health and welfare of the President prior to the others. She continued to explain how the air in the train carriages should be conditioned according to the weather when the President was on the train so that the President could not feel fatigued.
Then she left the train.
Some days later, the President took this train to embark on-the-spot guidance to North Hamgyong Province and other provinces.
In fact, ardent wholeheartedness of Comrade Kim Jong Suk who dedicated herself to the welfare of the President made it possible that the steam whistle of the special train was blown out over the two tracks of the railroad of liberated Korea.
Indeed, the life of Comrade Kim Jong Suk is a brilliant one of the true revolutionary who devoted her all solely to the President.
