Imprints of Devoted Service for the People Left on Disaster-stricken Areas

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"‘Let the whole Party make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the great people!'–this is the fighting slogan our Party should be holding high at present. We should regard it as an iron rule to respect the people, defend their destiny and give the highest and absolute priority to their interests and comfort."

It is said that there is nothing left on the land where the wild force of nature has swept over.

But this principle of nature does not work on this land.

In July 2024, the northern border areas of the country were hit by record torrential rains and subsequent flooding.

The sudden flooding submerged everything.

But the firm faith of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un that our people who have braved all difficulties under the leadership of the Party should be put forward as the happiest ones in the world and his unshakable will that no one should feel unhappy in the embrace of the Workers' Party of Korea whatever severe disaster may sweep over this land, have created another legendary tale of affection for the people.

He makes tireless, selfless and devoted efforts for the good of the people, regardless of the long and thorny path, if it is for their well-being and happiness.

On receiving a report that many people in some parts of North Phyongan Province were in danger due to the record torrential rains, he immediately had the aircraft of the Air Force of the Korean People's Army dispatched to the disaster-stricken areas and took all other necessary measures.

He then went to an affected area under torrential rains and guided the operation of rescuing the flood victims.

Thanks to his devoted efforts, over 5 000 flood victims were rescued in a few hours.

He went round the disaster-stricken area for two hours on a rubber boat, learning in detail about the damage. He convened the 22nd enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on the spot, and took a state measure for recovering from the damage in a short span of time.

The meeting adopted a decision on concentrating all the efforts of the state to restoring the afflicted areas by building modern houses and rapidly rehabilitating the damaged roads, railways and public buildings.

All the people in the country turned out in the drive to implement the decision.

The relief materials reflecting the warm and sincere hearts of the whole country were continuously sent to the disaster-stricken areas, and the people across the country turned out in response to the call of the Party Central Committee.

As a result, the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade was dispatched to the flood-hit areas of North Phyongan Province, and regiments of Party members were formed in Pyongyang and all the provinces and sent to the areas.

It has long been said that only bitter regret and despair follow a disaster.

But in this country, where the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is held in high esteem as the father, the cheers of the Workers' Party, which the people raise from the bottom of their hearts, resound.

We will soon see another miracle, in which a socialist paradise is coming up in the northern border areas of the country.

As we are led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who loves the people most and leads them vigorously to a bright future, only miracles, victories and glory are always in store for us.
