The Meat-Flavoured Soy Tasted First by the Great General

Now our people's hearts are pierced with the troubles and pains taken by Chairman Kim Jong Il, who devoted all his life to the welfare of his people.

Here is a story of the great General, who took great trouble to provide his people with high-quality delicious foodstuff.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"The glorious and ennobling life of Comrade Kim Jong Il was that of a great revolutionary who, upholding the red flag of the revolution, blazed a trail with his iron will and super-human energy, and that of a peerless patriot who devoted his all to his country and his people. His life was literally a burning flame."

On the cold windy day of 23rd in November, Juche 99(2010), Chairman Kim Jong Il paid a personal visit to a plant which had been turned into one of the greatest foodstuff processors of the country. He said he came there on hearing that the plant had set up new processes for producing a variety of nutritious foodstuff, and then began to look round those new processes.

What gave him the greatest satisfaction that day was the development of a new process for making high quality soy.

Chairman praised highly the meat-flavoured soy, saying that the chicken-flavoured soy was really tasty, much better than any world-renowned kind. He said in a low voice that he had eaten boiled rice with nothing else but meat-flavoured soy for two days and it was very delicious.

The officials around were surprised to hear that.

Any political leader in the world would say they work for their own people, but is there any leader who has ever tasted soy to see if it is good enough?

Even the producers themselves had not done so.

Chairman Kim Jong Il showed his great appreciation of the new development of meat-flavoured soy. He said that it was the product of the devotion and creative efforts of the leading personnel, workers and technicians of the plant who were always concerned with the improvement of people's living and tried hard to solve it.

Our Chairman Kim Jong Il, who always regarded his people as supreme, was so pleased with a new development of such a simple item as soy which would contribute to improving people's diet that he put a high value on it.

Indeed, the ennobling life of Kim Jong Il, who dedicated his whole life solely to his people's welfare, will be remembered forever and engraved deep in the hearts of our people.
