The Great Change in Ragwonpho, which has been Emerged as an Ideal Land of the People

On August 30, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm, which was built as another monumental edifice on the east coast along with the new era of regional rejuvenation, was held with splendor in the DPRK.

The sandy beach in a little port was all that had been in the last February, but in over 190 days it turned into a splendorous landscape symbolizing the spectacular innovations and civilizations of the country.

This change, which clarifies the picture of socialist paradise and clearly depicts the progressive development and happiness of the people brought by the regional development policy in the new era, is a precious fruition of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's devotion for the people.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"I am fully aware of how noble the mission is of representing and taking charge of the great Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist party. I solemnly pledge that I will make every effort to implement the fighting programmes put forward by this Party Congress, and that, regarding our great people as my god, I will, even at the risk of my life, be their faithful servant and work for them devotedly."

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, at the enlarged meeting of the 11th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, set forth the task of building an offshore farm, which is advanced and conforms to the local conditions in Ragwon County, South Hamgyong Province and building houses in parallel to turn the fishing village area into an ideal people's village symbolic of the new socialist civilization, with a more development-oriented goal of restoring the country's fishing industry with aquaculture as its main sphere and radically improving the material foundations of the regional economy and people's livelihood.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un had a lot of issues including the designation of its appropriate place and its architectural design discussed and examined since the outset of the year and relevant measures taken, and personally chose the site for the farm.

Being enclosed by land on three sides, it is free from unfavorable marine meteorological effects and convenient for building a wharf and breakwater, and it is also very close to the offshore farming ground, rich in aquatic animal and plant resources and superior in the aspect of marine ecology, and therefore, it is the most suitable for an offshore farm.

On February 14, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm was held. He attended the ceremony and said with pleasure that he would present the most beautiful fishing village to Ragwon County by building an offshore farm in the area and even flats sustaining the characteristics of the coastal area, and that it would be a good idea to call the fishing village "Ragwonpho" in the future.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un personally visited the construction site of the offshore farm to learn about its progress and highly praised the soldier builders for spending the day and month of feats and took necessary measures.

The soldier-builders who turned out in the construction of Ragwonpho with the noble patriotic will of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un successfully built hundreds of modern houses in fishing villages, the most unique in convenience, aesthetics and formative arts, along with the natural scenery of the surrounding area, along with a peculiar fishing base with advanced production facilities and processing processes, in the spirit of devotedly implementing the People's Army and in the spirit of miraculous creation.

The soldier-builders, who turned out in the construction of "Ragwonpho" associated with the noble love for the country and the people of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, built a seafood production base of peculiar style fully equipped with modern production facilities and processing lines and hundreds of modern houses in the fishing village, most unique in terms of convenience, aesthetic beauty and formative art while in harmony with the surrounding natural scenery along the undulating mountain, in the spirit of devotedly implementing the Party's policies and the fighting stamina of performing miracles peculiar to the Korean People's Army

Ragwonpho has been emerged as an ideal land of the people, true to its name, thanks to the great plan for regional development policy and direct guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
