The Legend of Love for Triplet Women Soldiers

Chairman Kim Jong Il devoted his all to the great Songun leadership from the day when he gave field guidance to Guards Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105th Tank Division on August 25, Juche 49(1960) as the first trace of his Songun revolutionary leadership.

The Songun leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il, who made sure that the Korean people and service personnel of the Korean People's Army waged the heroic struggle in the grim situation and stern trials unprecedented in history, will shine forever in the history of the DPRK.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Having resolved to be the master of the revolution in Korea from the first day of embarking on the road of revolution, General Kim Jong Il defended and added brilliance to his socialist country by giving his all throughout his life, and he continued to follow the road of love for his country and people until the last moment of his life."

Rodong Sinmun on March 2, Juche 91(2002) carried the impressive news that Chairman Kim Jong Il visited a woman company and met triplet women soldiers.

Their native place is Yangdok County, South Phyongan Province. Their parents, in the hope of adding glory to the story associated with their mountain village, gave their children names meaning "Hwanggumsan(a golden mountain)".

Chairman Kim Jong Il, who asked the names of triplet soldiers, said that their names were meaningful because the middle letters of their names meant "a golden mountain" if they were put together.

As he recognized the meaning of their names at once, the triplet soldiers were filled with joy.

While he acquainted himself with the year of joining the army, the native place and jobs of their parents, they felt easy as if they were with their father. Looked at their happy faces he said that they must have been born at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital. The triplet soldiers answered yes.

As all the triplets of the country did, they were also happy sisters born in his warm affection. The plane of love had flew for them and gold rings were given to them in celebration of birth as well as valuable medicine. Under his great care and love they grew up into soldiers at a post.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, who was running his affectionate eyes over them with a bright smile, looked like a father who met his children after a long time.

When he asked whether the military service was difficult, all of them answered that they didn't have any difficulty with it. Even though they were young soldiers still with schoolgirl – like appearance, they had readiness to fight any challenge. But he said in a thoughtful voice that they would struggle to bear any difficulty even though it was difficult.

Then he asked them who each of them resembled. The first sister told him that the second one resembled her mother, the third one father and she herself resembled parents on halves. Hearing this, he laughed a hearty laugh and then said that they could grow more because they were young and their parents were tall, adding with anxiety that they would have difficulty growing if they suffered physical exhaustion.

Realizing that he was worried about their height, they were moved to tears. In fact they were rather short before they joined the army. So their parents didn't hide their worry that they could discharge their duty as soldiers. However, in the days of military service, they grew taller and imposingly. Whenever they looked at themselves growing fully on the mirror they used to think how pleased their parents would be if they saw them.

However he then cared about their height. Before leaving their unit, he told the officials that they should report to him how tall they grew every year.

"Father General!' the triplets sobbed in his arms.

Thus a legendary story was born that the report on the physical growth of the women's soldiers was sent to the supreme headquarters every year.

At that time many countries were mad about arms race to keep the military and strategic balance with counterparts advocating a weapon-everything idea, and some counties were seized by "peace" under the expectation of outside military "protection."

However Chairman Kim Jong Il showed his love for soldiers thus glorifying the history of Juche-oriented foundations of the armed forces.

Indeed, the road to the front taken by Chairman Kim Jong Il was the long road of love of making the entire army sons and daughters of his own and a large family of the supreme commander by sharing the blood thicker than the blood of kin. It was an unprecedented road of Songun which inspired the soldiers with comradely love and kinship and thus enriched the mission of the independent guards.

It is natural that the army becomes the strong one with ideology and faith under the great general's wings.

Our country and people will convey and add glory to the immortal exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il who brought up the powerful army of comradeship by embracing all the members of armed forces with the love and trust.
