President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are tender-hearted fathers of the people who regarded "The People are my God" as their lifetime motto and devoted their all to the happiness of the people.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:
"Nowhere else in the world are there men as great as President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who devoted their whole life for the benefit of the people."
President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il were on the road of field guidance for the people all their lives. When they visited the people, they got the first-hand information on the people's dietary life and took measures for it. They would never allow them to suffer any inconvenience or anyone to infringe upon people's interests.
Among many stories telling about the warm love for the people, there is a story about an ardent love that the President had a taste of bean paste, indispensable for the people's diet, and he saw to it that the price of a bowl of the bean paste, more or less than 10 jons, was paid.
One day in August Juche 52 (1963), President Kim Il Sung visited Haeju City, South Hwanghae Province.
President Kim Il Sung, who came to know that there was no Haeju bean paste at lunchtime, called an official and kindly told him that he accompanied him for the first time and didn't know well about his habit. He continued that he was in the habit of tasting the bean paste of the local areas on his visit to the provinces, and that the official had to prepare the bean paste for the dinner.
Assisting the field guidance of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il heard the fact and called the official saying that he had not helped him well. And he told the official that it was his first task to prepare the province's bean paste in advance and to ensure that President Kim Il Sung could taste it for the first meal.
As instructed by Chairman Kim Jong Il, the official prepared Haeju bean paste and offered it to President Kim Il Sung at dinnertime.
After tasting the bean paste, President Kim Il Sung pointed out the shortcomings and said that they had to make the bean paste more delicious and qualitative. And suddenly he asked the official how much the bean paste cost.
The official said that the bean paste was a small amount, so he didn't pay for it. President Kim Il Sung said with astonishment that it was not good to bring it free of charge, and that he had no right to eat the bean paste made by the people without paying.
The official felt full of great remorse. When Chairman Kim Jong Il called the official, he said that it was good to prepare bean paste and present it to President Kim Il Sung, but it was quite wrong to bring it without paying the price, and that he should pay the price of bean paste to the shop.
When he was told that less than a bowl of bean paste was brought, and that the price would not be more or less than ten jons, Chairman Kim Jong Il said that the sweat of the working class was still permeated in even 10 jons, and that it was not because of the great price of the bean paste, that it was the most elementary order and legal duty of all the citizens to buy goods and pay the price, and that the shop-brought bean paste should be paid even if it was a spoonful amount.
The noble popular traits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il made the official moved keeping his eyes wet, and the official immediately went again to the shop, and paid ten jons for the bean paste.
Ten jons, the price of the bean paste are trivial, and everyone can neglect it, but such a story can be born only in the warm love of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il for the people who did not allow even one jon in regard to matters related to the interests and convenience of the people.
Indeed, President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il were the benevolent fathers of the people who devoted their all to the people and never allowed anything for them.
Today such a great love is being inherited by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is exactly the same as President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
The Korean people will build a powerful socialist country in the near future leading a rich and civilized life thanks to the respected General Secretary, who is making ceaseless journeys of devotion to make our people the richest in the world.
